#BigHero6 directors Don Hall & Chris Williams celebrated the animation department’s production wrap with a bang:

Big Hero 6 being finished 3 months before release is pretty quick compared to Frozen. Frozen was 99% done around Oct 2, two months before release.

That record could be in jeopardy.

Cinderella - $185 million

Monkey Kingdom - $15 million

Avengers 2 - $650 million

Tomorrowland - $215 million

Inside Out - $345 million

Ant-Man - $245 million

The Jungle Book - $225 million

Untitled Cold War Spy Thriller - $110 million

The Good Dinosaur - $255 million

Star Wars Episode VII - $575 million

In terms of total gross for a single slate of releases (with 2 or 3 smaller releases likely to still be slated... Million Dollar Arm, Hundred Foot Journey, etc), Buena Vista is looking to plummel the $2.1 billion record if we're going by total gross (expecting $2.7-2.8 billion). From January 1st-December 31st, 2015? Into the Woods and McFarland don't seem like heavy grossers and BH6 will be near finished with its run by 2015. Considering Star Wars Episode VII will likely get $350 million+ over the 13 day period (December 18th-January 1st), $2.2-2.4 billion is definitely feasible with a couple smaller releases to fill in the gaps and if everything performs decent at the box office

There are some huge over predictions here :P

I wouldn't be surprised if Cinderella and even Ultron do more than those predictions. Inside Out though seems overpredicted. Don't get me wrong, I'd LOVE it to cross 300M, but dunno. If (relatively) high concept Pixar movies like The Incredibles, Ratatouille and Wall-E couldn't do it, it would be hard for the similar IO too.

Also, not sure about Tomorrowland and Ant-Man too.

The only DreamWorks movies that do well seem to be the ones directed by Spielberg. I just realized that The Help is the only non-Spielberg DW film of the "Touchstone era" to gross over $100M DOM. The next highest is Real Steel (I keep forgetting that movie exists).
