Rsyu
Just came out of my HTTYD2 viewing. It was surprisingly empty, only about 1/10 full. It's a smallish theatre near my home with 701 seats divided among 2 screens but I've seen it full for previous films such as Days of future past and edge of tomorrow. Most of the business seemed to be focused towards Kundo. Hopefully the business at other bigger theatres was more lively.

Rsyu
Kundo killed all the competition. It's strange because HTTYD2 had similar presales to Dawn of the planet of the apes prior to release and it's still hovering around a similar number on OD yet it's admissions suck for some reason. Kundo presales dipped by a noticeable margin while HTTYD2 increased by about 12.5% today. This may suggest that HTTYD2 is loaded towards the weekends when family audiences are at their strongest.
