I was absolutely stunned and in the kind of awe you rarely experience when watching movies. And hands down, the best female performance I've ever witnessed and I don't expect that to ever change. Also Rear Window, Some Like It Hot, All About Eve, 12 Angry Men. I'm not a fan of either Ben Hur or Sunset Boulevard. I mean it makes sense in some instances but this is so random, I have no idea what I had to gain by naming it specifically. 1. The Night of the Hunter 2. Vertigo 3. Rear Window 4. Gun Crazy 5. Stromboli 6. The Killing 7. A Streetcar Named Desire 8. In a Lonely Place 9. The Seventh Seal 10. Paths of Glory Still lots to see.

Maybe I should try that to pick up some cool points.

Might as well just see the movie. If you wanna lie about seeing it in the first place, chances are it's good enough. And when I said it make sense sometimes I meant I can see why people would lie about having seen something huge like The Godfather or Gone with the Wind when they are at a party or something. Why I felt the urge to do it in this thread, I don't get.
terrestrial
Rashomon Seven Samurai The Hidden Fortress 12 Angry Men Witness for the Prosecution The Night of the Hunter Throne of Blood Touch of Evil La Strada Not being someone who usually likes 'comedy' movies, but there are a few I can enjoy, especiially out of the '50 (even if one of those is not the 'best' movie ever) Mon Oncle & Jour de fête and Operation Petticoat I am a big Charles Laughton, Macbeth in all its variations / different interpretations, and Kurosawa/Mifune fan, so the '50 and earlier/later are great for finding jewels of the film making IMHO

Brainbug
I mean. films like Rear Window, 12 Angry Men, Seven Samurai or North by Northwest are all great. But Gojira (1954) takes the cake for me. Only movie from the 50s that i can watch and enjoy time and time again.
