I don't see how Avatar fits this description, or The Incredibles for that matter. I feel popcorn can have a somewhat negative conaotation (I think Star Trek is more than a popcorn flick). I'd choose The Avengers as one of the ultimate popcorn flicks of all time (and I mean that in a very good way).

By his own description, Avatar shouldn't count. He lists summer films as one of the criteria. Avatar is winter.
