keysersoze123
it depends on this weekend. if it does something really strong like 40-45% drop and has at least 7-8% of screens next friday when Alice opens, it could still have strong late legs and squeeze 200m. So it needs 10% drop wed/thur and a good weekend for a start.

Mrstickball
Who is it losing screens to? Is there a list of screen counts for the various movies available? Also, I have a question for Olive or any of the Chinese moviegoers: What do you eat, if anything, at the movie theaters? I am curious what the theater experience is like in China. They eat scorpions and dumplings. What do you think people eat at the movies? Popcorn, chips, candy, soda...maybe the flavoring is a little different country to country but people are the same the world over.

My local theater does pizza, friend chicken, mozzarella sticks, and ice cream.. Probably bigger than popcorn/ect now. It was a genuine question - I have no idea if movie food-type culture is different from place to place.

Jesus your touchy about math and food It looked like a genuine question to me. I've seen Japanese eat rice noodles at baseball games. I love dumplings, wish they did have that. I prefer crickets over scorpions though. Food is not the same around the word for the same events. PS down 11% for wed. PS not good for releases. AB to come in at 30m~ based on 3.8m PS today. Cap is at 8% shows now and should get to 15% or about 45% of last week. I assume it will lose most premium screens to alice though. POTUS 2020
Let's see if we can get this str8 Midpoint was 345 yesterday That puts it at 15.5m down 11% from 17.36 yesterday. Today will be the second lowest gross, 36m, of the year below 2/7, 37.4m, the day before CNY. Tomorrow will be the lowest at 32m. The 6 new releases still look to be opening to a combined 50m. It will be a slow weekend unless AB breaks out. A2 still doesn't show sales yet on Maoyan. However it has a "want to see" at 205k which is a decent number 9 days out. I doubt you will know much on buzz but it has a terrible release date releasing a week before warcraft and after 3 weeks has Independence day. it needs super strong start even to just beat DOFP. I would say range is 500-800m depending on how strong the start is.
