i was waiting for jttw2 but it's seem like the critic are harsh

[+152] It wasn’t good, only the special effects were worthy of note. No plot, and Wu Yifan’s acting skills are… I don’t know what to say. It’s my first time watching him act and my last

[+123] Stephen Chow, Tsui Hark. If you need money, just give us your account number. No need to do this. I’m speechless…

[+63] So boring! No punch lines at all! Punch lines were created by cussing! That’s so stupid!

[+54] Those with low IQ won’t understand Stephen Chow’s films, that’s why you think it’s bad. Watch Wang Baoqiang’s films in the future. Anyone below 5 will understand it. No problem for you guys

[+28] I went to watch it yesterday. Waste of time. Messy plot and not funny at all. But the man beside me couldn’t stop laughing. I think he’s an idiot

[+26] I think it would’ve been better if Wu Yifan was swapped out for Wen Zhang. That kid should go back to singing and don’t act. His face isn’t suitable for the big screen

...is this from some comment section or something? That's like copying Dailymail comments. Lol.

I think there's a period missing for The Game Changer there.

So JTTW2 already grossed almost 600 million yuan? In two days? WOW!

A QQ article with 152 upvotes at most? Probably the lowest upvotes I've seen in a QQ article... ever.

Thanks for the link! It seems to be an article about the movie breaking records and yesterday's movies all breaking the single day gross for movies in China.

From what I can see, the comment with 3207 upvotes is actually a comment attacking Buddies in India and saying people only watched because the director's wife cheated on him. The comment with 2334 upvotes is praising JTTW2, saying it's really funny and the plot and effects are good. The comment with 2274 upvotes is saying Stephen Chow uses too many special effects. Those are the top 3! But comments under articles aren't really critics.

I'm planning to watch it next weekend!

Any proof?

Not proof of course but his cinema chains is apparently still reporting unusually large returns. Can anyone confirm?

Also, I saw on Tieba that KFY had a huge number of full screenings in the early morning (12 AM - 3 AM) which is usually the telltale sign of fudging.

Go look 3 pages back at my post. Confirmed is that he fudged the midnight numbers, other than that I have not had the time to check, have to do visiting. But the numbers are definitely inflated.

12am - 3am screenings in his own cinema chain are all sold out? lol.
