Pretty much a lock at this point ... early is better than later ...

If MoS were to "break out" OS, this China release date would be perfect(other than matching U.S. release date)

How does China decide release dates for U.S. films?

It is a little complicated ... long words into short: China Film Group decide which foreign/Hollywood movies to import (and they exclusively do the importings) and they pretty much can singly decide when (and how) to release these movies.

But now that Legendary formed an alliance there, it's easier for there to movies to be released in China?

WTF, too many animations released today, IM3 is only holding 3% screens. And The Croods still hold 6%.

750M is in danger.

But $120M will be reached, so it's all good really  ^_^

That exchange rate is bit off. CFC wont use that one.

I'm using google's exchange rate.  This just only an idea.  Final weekly results always based on the official one which will publish every Wednesday by EntGroup.

Entgroup is not official ... (actually most of their data is just for reference only ...)

The actual exchange rate that CFC use for revenue sharing foreign movie should be somewhere between 6.2~6.3 currently.
