I loved the James Spader/John Hawkes/Tim Blake Nelson trio. They were like the Three Stooges of the movie.

I suppose Alan Arkin is the 5th best? I dont get his nomination. He was amusing, I guess, but why the fucking fuck fuck fuck did he get in instead of SLJ or DiCaprio?! No justice..

There's about 83 people more deserving than him. Hell, a couple of them were in Argo.

But the ensemble in Argo was one of the best of the year because everyone did a great job filling their role.

Yep, Arkin's nod is a big WTF like William Hurt's History of Violance.

I don't agree with it, but Arkin's nomination makes sense. He gives the loudest, most entertaining supporting performance in the movie, and he's responsible for its most memorable line.

 

I hope Hoffman wins Supporting Actor. He gave a damn good performance that displayed a perfect understanding of his character's charisma, ability to sell his brand, and frustration with being unable to make his miracle project (namely, Freddie) work.

lol if you think PSH 's character was fascinating enough to draw people into a cult.

 

He was a sorry ass, babbling, uncharismatic schmuck.

 

If I met PSH's character , I would just laugh at him for being really pathetic and unfunny.

 

Tom Cruise in Magnolia was ten times more convincing as a guru.

TLJ deserves Oscar for his GG face.

 

Also, shame on oscars for nominating all previous winners in Supporting as if nobody w/o oscar was better. Big fat lie. MM in Magic Mike and Killer Joe, Leo, SLJ, Redmayne were better than some of the past winner nominees.
