Yes, the drop of this last weekend is amazing (-9%). It has grossed nearly €500k during last week, so it could gross another €1m. Finally "8 apellidos catalanes" could be beaten since it was released. It does not deserve to be so high. It is a VERY bad movie. Edit: btw, "Padre no hay más que uno" has increased relative to last weekend. It started with €1.48m. It has already a x8 multiplier. It could reach a x10. Amazing performance. It will have a sequel next year. Edited September 18, 2019 by peludo

I do not have data in euros of each weekend of IT1, but applying the ER to the BOM figures, IT was at €6m after 2 wekends, so IT2 is doing the same. In fact, a bit better. The first part did €11,271,836. Let's see if it is able to reach that.

ScareLol
Pre-sales at my cinema for tomorrow with 5 new releases: AD Astra (11 Shows): 100 tickets sold This is looking pretty solid, isn't it? Comps are Rocketman (58 tickets for 463K OW) and John Wick (48 tickets for 668K) so 1M+ for Ad Astra. There's hype around the film and marketing is all over Madrid at least. FirstMan did 812K last year but I see Ad Astra doing more with Brad Pitt push. +1M OW Downton Abbey (7 Shows): 76 tickets sold This also looks solid. Comp here is Rocketman with 610K OW for Downton Abbey but I see doing it more like 750K. I don't have a better comp for this Blinded By The Light (4 Shows): 0 tickets sold Warner is dumping this with an small release. Yesterday did 914K OW and Rocketman did 463K. It grossed 126K on Italy OW so 100K OW for this Ghostland (5 Shows): 0 tickets sold This is getting a super late release here like 1 year late and it doesn't have marketing. Less than 100K OW Manou (2 Shows): 6 tickets sold Animated German film. This is getting a bigger release than I thought (+140 screens), so we could see this on low Top 10 if it grosses +1K PTA Edited September 19, 2019 by ScareLol

ScareLol
Pre-sales for tomorrow with 4 new releases (2 of them are big): Mientras Dure La Guerra (9 Shows): 27 tickets sold Film by Amenabar about Spanish Civil War. Marketing push for the film is big with ads everywhere and the film was screened on San Sebastian Festival but with lukewarm reviews and controversy around the film and some interviews from Amenabar. Regression did 2.55M OW 4 years ago with Ethan Hawke and Emma Watson starring so I don't see this doing more than €1.8-2M OW if not less. Rambo: Last Blood (5 Shows): 16 tickets sold Low pre-sales for Rambo here in my cinema. John Wick 3 sold 48 tickets and The Old Man & The Gun sold 12 tickets. Rambo IV grossed €1.65M 11 years ago so I expect a lot less for Rambo: Last Blood. €900K OW So Long, My Son (2 Shows): 0 tickets sold Chinese small film. Out of Top 10 Jusqu'ici tout va bien (5 Shows): 0 tickets sold French comedy. Out of Top

peludo
Some relevant grosses: The Lion King: €35,650,000 (6,060,000 admissions) Estimated data, since the reported this week are wrong. I do not know if it will be able to reach Ocho apellidos catalanes as the 5th biggest film of all time (€36,144,160). Anyway, amazing performance. Aladdin: €25,155,067 (4,715,633 admissions) It ranks #20 all time. It has sold 600k admissions more than the animated version. Toy Story 4: €20,783,054 (3,648,727 admissions) With 24k admissions more than TS3, it has grossed €4m less. Padre no hay más que uno: €13,106,806 (2,299,447 admissions) It will rank #20 all time among local films. It will reach a x10 multiplier. Once upon a time in Hollywood: €11,846,290 (1,933,741 admissions) It has outgrossed Inglourious Basterds (€11.1m) as the biggest Tarantino's film in Spain. It could end with about €12.5m. The secret life of Pets 2: €11,319,000 (1,992,351 admissions) It is making half of the first one (€21.8m and 3.9 million admissions). ScareLol
Pre-sales for Joker at my theater tomorrow: Joker sold 810 tickets, surpassing SpiderMan as the third biggest pre-seller at my theater for Friday (after Captain Marvel and Endgame): Film Tickets OW Comp Captain Marvel 1064 4.13M 3.14M Spider-Man: FFH 663 4M 4.88M Aquaman 212 2.16M 8.25M Aquaman comp is all over the place so let's take CM and FFH. With both comps, Joker will do €4.02M OW but let's slow it down a bit and put €3.8M OW for Joker, an astounding success.
