Yes, she is a very good writer but outside of her mimicking Sarah Palin she hasn't done anything noteworthy as an actress. She plays herself in every single role.

Again people need to ignore the PTA for indie films when they go wide. Also remember that they usually play in places like New York where prices are a lot higher.
