baumer
wow, those are some pitiful scores, the only way to win was to abstain! Keep in mind, I screwed up the wording of the question. Those of you who went for it all, only lost 7000 points. there were plenty of you who should have lost 14,000 or 28,000 points. But I didn't stipulate that correctly. But it should have been like the IM3 question. So consider this question a gift for many of you.

kitik
if Bo.com's weekend projections hold we'll have two preseason questions' answers. Question 13: Will any of the top 7 grossing sequels domestically this summer have a second weekend drop of less than 44.5%? YES - MU does. So I just now realized that MU fell 44.7. Bummer, but I'm still fairly confident that DM2 will come through for me in 13 days. Just for clarification, what ARE the top 7 sequels of the summer? IM3, DM2, MU, STID, F&F6 and then 2 from: Hangover, Red, Percy Jackson, Wolverine, Smurfs, Kick-Ass, and Grown-Ups? If DM2 can't do it, Smurfs has a Wednesday opening too. Though Smurfs may not quite make it into the top 7.
baumer
MU couldn't do it by a measly .2% lol. The top 7 sequels are going to be determined by gross.

kitik
so out of curiosity, how's this one doing: Question 10: Which combination of films will make more money domestically?1) Iron Man 3, Percy Jackson, Blue Jasmine, The Conjuring2) This is the End, Despicable Me 2, The Lone Ranger, Pain and Gain3) Star Trek 2, Wolverine, Planes, Crystal Fairy, Red 24) Grown Ups 2, Heat, Pacific Rim, World War Z, Man of Steel 1 - 410 + ? + ? + ? = maybe something in the 510-550 range??? 2 - 100 + 300-400?? + 100-150?? + 50 = probably something above option #1, more like 600? 3 - 230 + 100-150?? + ? + ? + ? = unknown, but probably less than option #2 4 - 100-150?? + 150 + ??? + 200 + 300 = this could wind up in the 800-900 range?? Obviously it's way too early to call, you never know if Lone Ranger will hit 300M or if Percy Jackson or Red 2 will make 200M, but it looks like about 80% of the players picked #4. And right now, I think #4 is looking good.
