  1. This, to be honest. If they broke the continuity in order to play with the Trek elements as they liked...hell, go for the big ones. The Klingons are very famous, but in the end they are a very abstract idea...the fact that a story is 'Klingon-centered' doesn't say anything specific about its content. And they are not mutually exclusive. Say that the Borg attack the Klingons and this forces them to ask for help to the Federation...then you have a mix of STVI and First Contact. You can't go wrong with that. I say bring on the Borg and some time-controlling device, the five captains in order to commemorate the 50th anniversary, and restore the previous temporal line. I think it's going to be pretty difficult to renew the entire cast for a 4th movie anyway, so they may as well end things now just in case.
  2. I'm sad about Voyager. It's a great show but in the end its average is simply not up to the standard of TNG or DS9. Still, it's a very decent product of the franchise, even if its possibilities were massively wasted. I voted for DS9.
  3. The problem is, in some countries they changed the title to make it even more generic and vague. In Spain is something like "Oz: A Fantasy World".
  4. The first one is the only decent for me. 4th and 5th aren't good movies by any means, but I had a LOT of fun watching them. The 2nd and 3rd are just forgettable. It'll be interesting to see the path they choose for this one. The series is caught up in a spiral of disappointing projects: the last film didn't match the numbers of the precious entry, and neither of the three videogames released last year (specially the main entry, Resident Evil 6) didn't meet the expectations of the company.
  5. 30% drop for Identity Thief. Crazy! I hope Melissa McCarthy takes advantage on her momentum while it lasts.
  6. Damn, Identity Thief is pulling some strong numbers.
  7. Woah, Nemesis did terrible!Nowadays I wouldn't rule out 300M OS. The trailer makes it look like a blockbuster and counting with 3D, China, Brazil, etc...a 100% increase sounds like a big deal, but I don't think it's that hard to get.
  8. So glad it's doing so great (better than TDKR!) in Spain!
  9. ContactHarry Potter and the Prisoner of AzkabanBreakfast at Tiffany'sAlienToy Story 3
  10. Tomb Raider VS Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life. Neither of them are exactly 'great' movies, but at least Lara is not as plane (emotionally) as in the first one, and the story is interesting enough. It doesn't have a nude scene with Daniel Craig, though, but nobody's perfect.
  11. And even if the lawsuit was referring to 'The Dark Knight' and not 'Rises', it would make no sense as people all over the world have seen the movie and it had no effect on them...so it's clear that the insanity has its origin in the person and not the effects of the movie.
  12. How many times has New York been destroyed/attacked in the movies?
  13. I was SO touched by Michael Caine's performance in front of the Waynes' graves. The ending was a big relief for me even though I had accepted Bruce's death was a good way to end the story.
  14. The only thought clear in my head is that I don't want to see the origin of Batman again. And I love TDKR as the end of the story, so unless they go I wouldn't want a new sequel either. I'd always wanted a film adaptation of Batman of the Future, though...
  15. Well, it was certainly a possibility. The movie has had big promotion on TV and other media.
  16. They were smart to keep the Alien connection to a subtle level. This way they get the best of both strategies: Alien fandom would create expectation around the movie and casual viewers would feel it as something fresh and new.
  17. Exactly my thoughts. They failed to match the maturity reached by the books in that moment. They transformed a fanatic like Crouch Jr. into the type of villain you could find in a Disney sequel. They missed all the political thoughts, the Crouch family drama and they barely go through the manipulations of the gossip media.I think it's definitely the book that has lost the most in the adaptation process. The Order of the Phoenix had way more scenes cut, but they weren't too relevant for the story apart of the final conversation with Dumbledore. I also would have liked more of Tom Ryddle's memories on The Half-Blodd Prince, but I understand this is an industry and they need to focus the attention around the three main actors.
  18. They suffered a lot of budget cuts in the last season. To the extent that there are very few episodes in which all the regular characters were present. It's also the main reason they couldn't make a short final season the next year.Still, I loved Kevin's daughter soryline, Norah and her old boyfriend (and how it involved Sarah) and uncle Saul's relationship.
  19. Damn James Cameron, he really can't help but become richier with every release no?I wonder if Hollywood expected to reach this level of earnings from China so soon. Only a few days ago we were saying Chinese results could only equal DOM numbers in ten years! And even though being a 3D re-release makes this an exceptional case, I can't say many people expected this scenario. It also has to be considered that Titanic has pretty much all ingredients to become a monster on the box office; it appeals to nearly every kind of audience you could think of, so it's not like every blockbuster after this is going to repeat its results.
  20. Impressive for The Descendants, and a very good start for Underworld, exceeding the expectations.
