  1. The key difference here is that Resident Evil is an adaptation, while Underworld is the original. Milla might be the main attraction now that the films have gone completely off the story, but the point of the first two films and any future reboot was and will be presenting a film version of the games. That's how they find their audience. With Underworld, it's not so easy.
  2. Star Trek has rarely gotten really big films BO-wise. Let's just say Beyond failed to reach the mainstream audience. The film is very good, though and I expect them to keep the creative core moving forward.
  3. Yes, the peak of the franchise, with two TV shows and a movie series at the same time.
  4. You say that because the previous film with the Borg became the 2nd highest grosser and the best reviewed of the franchise?
  5. In the trailer Wesker says to Alice "I should have killed you in Washington."
  6. I like the teaser, and at the same time I'm glad this is ending. I also like that everything points to them returning to the lab of the first film.
  7. The thing is, by the franchise standards, this one is definitely a hit. Also, it still hasn't open in a lot of countries: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2660888/releaseinfo
  8. Here is the poster: I really don't know if I like it.
  9. Star Trek also lacks an interesting premise. Crashing the Enterprise again and being taken as prisoners doesn't feel exciting enough. The movie is good, but the GA can't know that if they don't get in the theater.
  10. First official picture. I'm surprised they have kept the subtitle of "The Final Chapter". I would like this film to be more related to the tone and scenarios of the first one. The third one.
  11. If SS has a lower OW than Deadpool despite making double on Thursday previews that will be a really bad sign. Specially when that was completely discarded after that OD number.
  12. How is 80%+ anything but "great"? It's in the same range as the best Trek films, and exactly the same as STVI. What I'm saying is that the series hasn't sunk without Abrams at the helm. Yes, it won't do as much as the previous entry, as sequels often do. But the business is clearly alive.
  13. Yeah I've read that number but BOM and some other articles confused me. I guess STID had a four-day weekend or similar? BOM says STID did $62 in the first three days. In any case, I'm still happy with the number.
  14. I'm very happy with the OW number. After all that's been said about the marketing, $59 is barely below from the $62M of Into Darkness and it's in the very high end of the expectations. Plus, with all the great reviews it could be said Paramount has transitioned successfully from JJ Abrams as a director.
  15. Yeah. We take that for granted now, but not long ago that wasn't so clear.
  16. You destroyed your own argument, baby. You destroyed it yourself.
  17. First you say "Big movies in the summer are going to be fun, breezy, action films" and now it's "there's movie out there for everyone you just have to drive to the theater to find them". So...which one is it?
