Great trailer. Great editing, great use of great music.
Buuuut... movie itself is not looking very interesting and wide appealing. I will definitely see this, but I'm affraind.. no, I'm sure, that almost nobody else will see this in theaters.
Too many shots from this 'backburster' scene, but overall - great trailer. Almost as great as Prometheus' one. And probably as much misleading about upcoming quality.

Honestly, I was excited for this trailer, beause Prometheus trailers were one of the best trailers ever made. But here..? Bland editing, lack of rythm, bland music choice...sigh.
Just found out who the director is, just after rewatching Hero, after ~10 years. That movie is masterpiece. Now I'm really interested in The Great Wall.
Visually really cool, and the concept is neat. But this music made everything laughably cheesy.
I do hope it's the actuall music they used in the movie, because I don't like neither Pratt or JLaw and hope this movie bombs artistically and financially
"Good blend" of comedy. Hopefully it will be good in movie, because comedy in this trailer is not blending well with other elements.
Visually jaw-dropping, but everything about John C. Reilly character is too cheesy for my taste.
Yeah, I know, but it's a rather 'new' thing. And it's strange. "Literally crying" over everything. Or maybe they're just using this as figure of speech. Well, whatever, it's not like I care, but I don't like cringey things. Bragging about crying over decent trailer is pretty cringeworthy.
What the heck is wrong with those crybabies nowdays? New trailer for Beauty and the beast - they cry. Bilboard for Passengers - they cry. New image of anything - they cry. Jesus christ...
VERY VERY good article. Bittersweetely written by Japanese person raised in US. Interesting viewpoint on history of Japan animation and what caused Ghost in the Shell to be born.
