Wait, already? Was it even two months? Seems like it will be not much action movie. Which is a good sign.
But what worries me is how little time after Arrival Denis had to prepare everything for this. Approve sets to build, concepts for everything etc. Hopefully this is very low on greenscreens.
This looks great.
Looks like it will be what Jupiter Asc wanted to be, but failed - fun space opera with vast universe, tons of action and interesting, original visuals.
Was hyped up for that since first news, hyped up even more after this. Most anticipated movie of 2017.
"Arrival is a weird flick, slow and tedious, too metaphysical for Rod Serling's The Twilight Zone and most likely to appeal to people who like to play video games and solve puzzles. "
Jesus christ, this reviev summary. Since when solving puzzles is a wrong thing?
Well, they showed nothing but the visuals. Nice visuals I'm not saying 'no' for this movie.
Also - lol at people who think that in the future white women can't be considered 'asian'. Like right know black people can't be american, or european from generations, right?
Meh. Arrival - that's what I understand. But this?
I don't like blazed Lawrence, and think that Pratt fits only in quirky, comedic movies. So cast is rather a minus for me.
Morten Tyldum - Hodejegerne was a nice movie (I gave 7), but Imitation Game was boring mess of editing. I gave 6. So no hype for director.
Non franchise big budget... Yeah, I see where that came from, but I will not support ANY non franchise big blockbuster solemny because it's non franchise. No hype here.
But you do you Booboos. Just don't overhype this movie BO predictions. Around 300WW should be fine.
Prometheus suits, that nice!
Anyway - trailer looked nice, budget is shown. But why this movie have so much hype here? There is nothing very interesting about premise, about people behind it, visuals are only 'ok', trailer is only 'good'... Why so much hype?
No, no no. They went all of the way to think of something new, so they made 'trailer with iconic rock song edited outside of music' and nothing makes sense. At least it's original now.
They are here. But in Wan style, so it's never a fake jump scare. You know, like kid looking outside the window, and suddenly mother put hand on her shoulder and BWAAM, loud sound effect. No, nothing like that. When Wan is doing jump scares, they're always scary and 'proper'.
Because it's 50th anniversary of Star Trek, everybody should avoid mentioning that!
Remember when Skyfall was coming up? Nobody mentioned it's a James Bond movie, and a 50th anniversary, that would be dumb!
