  1. I seem to know them more than you, especially if you find crap like Red Dawn on par with anything Nolan's ever done. As far as the 3 films I mentioned that are worse than THE DARK KNIGHT RISES!, I will state further that the only films made by the directors of those that are even on par with it in any way shape or form are as follows: Donner: Raimi: Burton: "That is it, end of fuckin' list!"
  2. BATMAN RETURNS?! That film was irredeemable gutter trash of the lowest common denominator! Forever was also badly written and atrociously acted.
  3. Superman '78, Spiderman 2, Batman 89 are all worse than THE DARK KNIGHT RISES! Worse acting, worse effects, worse written characters, and yes, LESS SENSIBLE SCRIPTS!!!
  4. There is far more logic and quality in TDKR than a ton of the films you praise. I have issues with the film to, but trying to paint it as a lesser quality piece of storytelling/filmmaking than Die Hard 5 or Movie 43 is insanity....CLINICAL insanity!
  5. Nope, pure opinion, one that is not shared by the majority of film goers and critics. My opinion, the only film Bill Condon ever directed that could be considered on par with any film in Nolan's filmography is Gods and Monsters. He's also the only director out of the 4 attached to the Twilight franchise who has ever directed a single film on par with even the worst Nolan has ever put to celluloid.
  6. You're the one who decided to start up the threads again in a desperate attempt to push your opinion through.
  7. Nope, infinitely less sense, despite having infinitely less plot.
  8. "I don't remember what my dad looks like either, but at least I get to see him everyday." Easily the best line of the film. Like Night at the Roxbury, a guilty pleasure.
  9. continuing with the theme: Buffy the Vampire Slayer is the most overrated tv show since the creation of the device itself. Unlikeable characters doing despicable things and then being instantly forgiven and framed as the good guys because they're friends with the overly praised, more-protected-than-John-Cena, Bella Swan-ish protagonist. Badly written/boring characters (Riley, Kennedy) who add nothing but bad acting and terrible plot threads. Alyson Hannigan is one of the worst actresses I've ever seen in any live action medium. The hypocrisy of producers/writers crying fowl at the lack of character development in other shows and then having their own characters either stay stagnant or go through character assassination. the lunatic fans praising "Continuity" as some sort of new thing in a TV series even though other shows had been doing it for years.
  10. The utilization of Angel has to be the most laughably incompetent handling of a new character to a franchise I've ever seen. You spend a minute devoted to him in the teaser BEFORE THE OPENING CREDITS, and then utilize him for less than 4 minutes during the rest of the film doing nothing? Mutants having limited screen time and being put in for fanservice purposes is nothing new for the X-Men franchise, but a common (and usually effective) cinematic trait is when introducing a new character in the "teaser", you normally have them play major roles in the proceeding film.

  13. DBAOTD & Splice > Anything Bay's has been a pure producer for.
  14. The usual dreck you'd expect from Cage by this point. 1/2* out of *****
  15. Ms. Carmody is the 21st century's Nurse Ratched!
  16. The only consolation is that PR will do much better worldwide.
  17. More: Gore Verbinski The Wachowskis
