  1. TPM will increase on Saturday. Worst case, it stays flat Saturday, drops to about 8/9m Sunday and still does 31-33m. I'm seeing tomorrow with my wife and son.
  2. Although did anyone notice that the marketing kinda phased out Ryan Reynolds.I think they realized that this is clearly a Denzel film where he's pretty much carrying the movie and Reynolds is the supporting character. Plus, RR hasn't proven that he is a draw in this type of film. Denzel has.
  3. The last 30-40min of the movie could be worth seeing again in theaters and 3D. The problem I have with Clones is the rather slow pace it moves at after the night club scene and before Anikin and Padme show up on Geonosis. However, the early chase sequence on Coruscant, Obi vs. Jango, the asteroid scene and pretty much the whole sequence on Geonosis is worth seeing again on the big screen and 3D. And I've said it before and I'll say it again; TPM and AOTC need to do well so I can see ROTS, ANH and especially ESB in theaters again. 3d or not, I would gladly go see those 3 movies in theaters. Awesome start for Safe House, The Vow and TPM. Pretty much expected for Journey 2.
  4. Nice start for both openers. Would be nice to see them both get over 20m for the weekend.Chronicles Cinemascore is just ok at a B. Thought it would have been higher than that.
  5. UW4 continues to stay ahead of UW2. Does it lose IMAX anytime soon?
  6. A+One of the greatest movies ever made. Every actor in the movie does a great job and you actually care about the characters.
  7. First UW movie to not drop on Tuesday. The 3D is helping it out. The first 3 movies had already dropped below 2m on the week days by now.
  8. Didn't mean to get u all hyped there Fishnets. LOL!All I'm saying is that due to what seems like positive WOM so far and the fact that KB is back in the lead role, unlike the 3rd movie, there could be a slight uptick in over all ticket sales. That's all. At no point did I say it would suddenly drop 50% or something in its second weekend.
  9. It could see an increase in admissions even among fans of the series. The third movie, which didn't have Beckinsale, dropped more than 2m in est. tickets from the first movie; let alone the second. If the WOM is strong enough perhaps some of those people will see this one in theaters.
  10. Sunday drops will be slightly bigger than normal due to NFC and AFC championship games. Nice start for RT.
  11. I don't think Lucas is too worried about how much he makes off of Red Tails. I think he just wanted to get the movie made and out there because it was a story that he always wanted to tell. I don't think it really matters how well it does box office wise. Whatever amount he stands to lose he more than made up for with the recent release of the Star Wars saga on Blu-ray. The mans a billionaire! He'll be ok.
  12. Decent start for UW4. Nice for Red Tails. Probably will see it this weekend.
  13. I can't even fathom how many movies I've seen over the years. Easily over a 1,000. I know that much. I own about half that on DVD and Blu-ray and that's not considering all the movies I've seen that I don't own.
  14. Most definitely! It stands to reason since I love Star Wars so much.
  15. SPACEBALLLLLLLLLSSSS!!!! Watch out!! :)It's not my all time favorite comedy, but it's close. I could quote it all day long.
  16. Star Wars I've definitely seen well over 100 times. Empire is pretty close behind it as well as ROTJ. I don't watch them as much as I used to but I pop'em in now and then. Of coarse, Spike plays them over a weekend multiple times during the year; so I'll sit and watch one or two of them. Some other notables are:RaidersAlienAliensJawsGhostbustersTronBack to the FutureDie Hard 1 and 2
  17. Conan the BarbarianIt was the first movie my mom recorded off of HBO when we got a VCR. It was the first "Adult" movie that I had seen to that point. It was all kiddie stuff before that. After that I was completely hooked.
  18. Best - Empire Strikes BackWorst - Life is Beautiful
  19. Regardless of the actuals being slightly lower than estimates, the drops over all were still quite good. DT showing some nice legs.
  20. Yea, I'm hard pressed to think of any movie coming in the next few years that could even threaten that record. It would have to be a big, highly anticipated movie with both IMAX and 3d.
  21. 1. TDKR2. TH13. Something before the TH2 :)4. TH25. Something between TH2 and Avatar2
