I'd argue that more critics being verified actually makes it harder to have a streak such as Lady Bird is having. As more and more reviewers get verified it increases the chances of contrarians like Armond White being added as well. Streaks like this will always be rare since it takes just 1 reviewer giving a "rotten" review to end a streak regardless of how many total reviewers there are.

I just got home and see LB is now 170/0. Funny how the last few days reviews were trickling in just 1 or 2 per day, but as soon as the record pops there are a bunch all at once.

Nope, the record tying 163rd review just came up putting LB at 163/0 equaling Toy Story 2. Just 1 more to go for a new record...

I saw the trailer for this before 3 Billboards and I kept thinking Franco sounded exactly like Tomik and Bellgarde (the 2 foreign guys on Family Guy who have been living in the U.S. long enough to almost sound American). Guy #1: Oh man, what a good bunch of partying at that disco-tech. They played one of my audience requests. Guy #2: Way awesome! I myself drank like five liters of beer. Any more and I would have ended up in hospital man. Guy #1: Oh you said it friend, but I wanted to stay, because I almost had sex on this girl. Guy #2: Oh yeah, but it was so expensive. Each drink was like six dollars forty!

It's so simple, but I really like this poster. Also, LB is up to 160/0 now.

Reviews are coming in slower now, but LB is now at 158/0 at RT, just 5 short of Toy Story 2's 163/0 for the all time record of consecutive positive reviews out of the gate. With Armond White already out of the way the record seems inevitable now.

So Lady Bird is now at a perfect 150/0 on RT. Does anyone know the record for most positive reviews in a row right from the start? The only ones I'm sure of are Get Out at 139 (up until Armond "reviewed" it) and Toy Story 2 which is 163/0. Huh, I guess LB is so good it's even Armond proof, I just noticed he already reviewed it on Nov. 3 so it should be clear sailing for LB on RT

Saoirse, Emma and Jennifer seem to be pretty playful here. I'd love to see Saoirse join the little girl power group Emma, Jennifer and Brie have going with each other. Saoirse will definitely win an Oscar at some point, but I'd really like to see her win it this year.

Thanks for mentioning that, I pretty much never watch SNL anymore unless the guest host is one of my favorite actors (so maybe 2 or 3 times a year), but I'll check out Ronan on SNL.

I was planning to see this tomorrow, but decided to change my ticket for today so I could relax and do absolutely nothing tomorrow. I saw JL at 11:30 am (all I'll say is it was better than B vs. S) and give myself 3 hours to do some shopping and treat myself to a nice steak and lobster tail dinner with baked garlic shrimp as the appetizer and then see LB. A truly excellent movie, especially with a sold out theater where the crowd was really into it. The acting is top notch across the board, especially Ronan and Metcalf and Gerwig nails it right out of the gate with a tight script and excellent directing. It deserves it's perfect RT score (147/0 and counting, let's hope Armond is on holiday for a while.). I can see this having a fair number of Oscar nominations and even some wins, but competition if fierce this year.

Lady Bird is still crushing it at RT. Still 100% after 134 reviews, almost to the 139 Get Out got to before Armond White ruined its perfect rating. I see LB is expanding to 238 theaters and looking around 1 theater near me has it (on 3 screens). It's not one of my favorite theaters, it's an old style theater that was given a facelift, so no stadium seating, small screens and limited seating (the "big" auditorium is maybe 150 seats), on the plus side, all seating is reserved and the entire theater is 19+ so they do serve adult refreshments. I'm really looking forward to this, already have my ticket for Justice League on Saturday and LB on Sunday.

I'm surprised this movie isn't more heavily discussed here. LB has steadily been moving up from being a nice little Indie project to looking more and more like a major awards contender and a crowd pleaser. LB seems to be hitting its stride and picking up steam just as prime awards season is getting underway. In its first weekend in 4 theaters it had a PTA of $91,109 and in its first expansion to 37 theaters it still has a great PTA of $33,766. Reviews are also stellar with LB at a perfect 100% at RT after 115 reviews so far.

I loved this movie. Despite being a horror movie it was light and fun and Rothe absolutely nailed it. She is a much better actress than you usually see in low budget horror. I hope we see a lot more of Rothe in the future, I'm definitely a fan now. I'll definitely see this in theaters again.

Oh, I'm sure that when/if the next Apes movie is made that is what it will be, I just think that it should have been the 3rd movie rather than the 4th.

I've actually been thinking about this movie again recently and while it was OK I think it was actually unnecessary. The first one was the origin story, which makes perfect sense, and the follow up was the movie that showed the aftermath, again quite logical, but there was really no need for another aftermath story. Personally, after the 2nd one I wanted the next one to be set well into the future, when the "missing" spacecraft reappears.

I think the teaser shows enough promise that I'm interested. I'd be more interested if it wasn't Portman as the lead though. I was a big Portman fan for years and was glad when she finally won the Oscar, but since then I find her rigid and off putting, both on screen and off. She also isn't looking well either, in the trailer she is very gaunt and her skin tone is an unhealthy hue, almost grey.

So, the title says weekend estimates are on page 57, but we are only on page 53. I guess another 4 pages to go?

I'm not usually interested in these types of movies but I find a Groundhog Day style horror movie rather compelling. It should steal the tag line "Live, Die, Repeat" from Edge of Tomorrow.

It's hard to say much about the movie from a teaser, but I can say that really is one hell of a swimsuit.

I just noticed something on RT, there seems to be a mini battle of the sexes on reviews. BOTS has 71 positive and 12 negative reviews (I personally count it as 11 since I don't think any of Armond White's reviews should ever count). Of that 12 only 1 is from a female reviewer. There are 26 reviews by female reviewers which are 25-1 positive and the male reviewers have it at 46-11
