Yes, and don't forget John Carter opened on March, 8. Three days ouf of four people were free from work. And the Avengers should gross at least the same amount Monday-Wednesday, most likely more. $15-15.5m OW still looks pretty good.

Looks like around 18-20% Friday drop and around 38-40% Saturday increase.

A friend of mine told me that The Avengers dropped on Friday. Maybe up to 20%. Not so good actually. It could have stayed flat at least. But this is not official obviously. Nothing official till Thursday or Friday. Only more or less rough estimates.

Our market is always frontloaded. Multiplyer higher than 2.5 is rare in normal circumstances. And four holidays in a row + previews.

Kinometro provides OD grosses only since July, 2010. For the Avengers the key point is 7day gross through Wednesday. After that even $10m can't be assured.

John Carter grossed $6.1 with opening on National holiday, March, 8. And finished with $16.67 for the weekend. 2.73 multiplyer. But this time it should be at least between 4.5 and 5. So The Avengers could be anywhere between $18m and $21m. With all things considered simply incredible number.

PotC4 still has the highest ever daily gross with 247 mln RUB on Saturday. That's $8.43m by the current exchange rate and nearly $9m by exchange rate from last year. With working Saturday this is out of question now.

According to some very early preliminary reports OD numbers might be close to Pirates of the Caribbeans 4 last year or even higher. That would be simply incredible. Stay tuned.

For the general audiense they promote The Avengers as a sc-fi action film. Without mentiong comic books at all.

It's hard to tell. On Monday-Wednesday is should make at least the same gross as in opening weekend. Then it will drop like a stone on week 2 and again on week 3. With 13mln for the weekend it could be like $2m (previews) + $13m + $13m (Mionday-Wednesday) + 5m (2nd weekend) + 1m weekdays + 1.5 m (3rd weekend) + 1.5m till the end. Around 37m total. That would be pretty strong actually.
