  1. Agreed. I'm getting an Immortals vibe but with Proyas-level visuals.
  2. meaning you are already our transcendent King.
  3. Thanks to you I am nearing a 50% post/like ratio. Wow! hahaha. viva Blankments!
  4. Live. Die. Repeat would have given away a major aspect of the general storyline for those who wanted to avoid all the trailers.
  5. The beginning of modern CGI. This movie really does stand the test of time. I really wanted to see the movie when it was out but didn't get a chance to. JP was an Event Film. My generation's Jaws. So many great memories..the special effects, soundtrack, the T-Rex eye that dilated when the flashlight shone on it.....amazing time for cinema!
  6. Best prediction: Predicting Toy Story 3 would make $110.3 million on its OW. It made exactly that. Got the #1 slot for #1 predictions on the Derby that weekend. Worst prediction: Transcendence over $100million
  7. One of the passengers, Milton Quon, is over 100 years old. He had turned 80 around the time of filming.
  8. It's amazing that in this day and age with so many movies making inflated numbers, James Cameron comes out of a 12 year hibernation and TOPS the all time boxoffice list AGAIN.
  9. Thanks for posting this. I would love for EOT to hold up and do well before TF4.
  10. When I saw 45 likes after logging on, I was like
  11. I got about 40 likes from Chewy on the Jupiter Ascending page...wow
  12. Was referring to Spider-Man 1 not ASM.
  13. A-Team, Star Trek, and Spider-Man all had sub-50% drops and were big productions like EOT and going after the same audience. Some weren't even as good. It can happen.
  14. I'll wake you up when Think Like a Man Too, Transformers, Apes, and GOTG come out.
  15. Agree on Frozen. It's just that this is the first ORIGINAL animated movie in over a decade that came closest to the classics of Disney's golden age (early 90s). Today's younger generation never experienced a true classic until now so I understand the excitement. It happened for me when Lion King came out (even though I was a teenager I still got caught up in the excitement).
  16. I have no dog in this fight. I haven't seen the movie or read the book. In fact, I love it when low budget films make gobs of money. Take heed Hollywood. I just remember walking to a midnight screening of EOT. As I approached the theater (which was still out of sight) I heard all this noise, the noise of hundreds of people. "Are all the bars open on Thursday night?" I looked down and the mall was empty except for a sports bar but that wasn't where the noise was coming from. As I got closer I could tell the crowds were at the theater. "This can't be for EOT..what gives" Then I saw masses of teenagers coming out of a theater with signed copies of FIOS copies. I had forgotten about this movie. I heard a couple of "that was awesome" like comments. In short, it just seems like a movie where there is alot of excitement to see it on OD/OW. Friday was VERY frontloaded. Given the kind of hype and the type of audience it appeals to, if it can sustain an audience over the following weeks, I will surprised. If it drops more than 60% next weekend, I won't be.
