  1. We haven't had a female Bond villain since Elektra King in World is Not Enough. Also, what happened to the creative names like Pussy Galore, Plenty O'Toole, Xenia Onatopp, or Holly Goodhead??
  2. Forrest Whitaker will be in 3 movies in the top 20 next weekend (Black Nativity, Out of the Furnace, The Butler)
  3. Ah, I was looking at the daily drops instead; Mon-Tues, Tues-Wed, etc.
  4. http://www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?page=daily&id=harrypotter4.htm http://boxofficemojo.com/movies/?page=daily&id=catchingfire.htm I don't see the correlation.
  5. Catching Fire made $3m, Frozen made $2m, and Homefront 1m?
  6. Yes, and I'm referring to buzz within his core audience. I think they will forgo this one. I see this coming in on the low end of Tyler Perry movies as far as box-office goes. The reactions to the trailer during a recent packed Best Man Holiday screening were audible..and not good. "That looks stupid", "Tyler Perry needs to hang it up", people shaking their heads....it was bad.
  7. [*]Bad Grandpa will pass $100m this weekend [*]Is Nebraska going to expand further? [*]Madea Christmas will underperform (lackluster buzz), Frozen has a chance at #2 during Hobbit weekend
  8. Non-sequels? Sheesh. So many of the 2015 movies are sequels. It's hard. I suppose Ant-Man, Peanuts movie, and Pixar's movies.
  9. Frozen will be fine and will be less vulnerable to Hobbit than most other films.
  10. Alright fine. I will add that the Beauty and the Beast post-Christmas jump was one for the ages. There was no internet around to talk about it.
  11. Catching Fire drop is right in the middle of the pack for late November blockbusters.
  12. Ride Along, that's a good one. I think you might be right.
  13. I should have clarified. What is the next never-been-released-before original movie (not based on pre-existing anything) that will greenlight a sequel.
  14. There is some debate over whether Mulan or Tarzan marked the end of the Disney renaissance. I have always thought it was Mulan but I can see the Tarzan angle.
