  1. FOX wanted to make a third one as cheap as possible because they're already shelling out 20M for Neeson. Taken 3 really has that direct to video feel for me. Not surprised with the poor legs
  2. Nice drop for Paddington! Steep drop for Annie. Might finish under 2011 The Muppets
  3. Neeson so deserves the 20M paycheck. He is the reason why a generic action franchise is THIS big. FOX really got lucky with that franchise
  4. The Oscars is essentially a game. I don't really see it as you know the standard of the best but I like following it because I like competition, predicting which gets nomination and what wins, kinda like box office But you know following the Oscars did help me discover movies I would otherwise not be aware of [even the "snubbed" ones because they still get talked about online]
  5. Birdman won the Producers Guild Award and could win the ensemble award on SAG later as well, and those guilds share voters with the Oscars so those who don't like Boyhood, Birdman has the best shot to win it
  6. WOW at AS! Paddington is having a good run as well I was hoping Boy Next Door would have better increase but hey this is good enough for this movie, go cookies! *** Birdman won the Producers Guild Award so Boyhood is not a sure win to get the Oscar now. I like Boyhood but I wouldn't mind Birdman winning too. Anyway, it would have been fun if AS won that just for the Oscar bloggers meltdown that would have happened lol
  7. Imitation Game could really go for 100M, the holds are great
  8. Boy Next Door way lower than early estimates but still solid for the movie. Yikes Mortdecai and Strange Magic Nice for Paddington!
  9. Kristin Chenoweth? I saw her in the trailer, playing JLos' friend Beyonce was ruling the music charts when Obsessed came out though while JLo hasn't had a hit in years (well that Booty song she had with Iggy Azalea debuted high thanks to the music video but it was short lived) so this movie is a way to resuscitate JLo's "brand" so to speak
  10. I know that so at least Disney made an effort to place an ad there than just bury it completely lol
  11. So AS vs Boyhood in the Oscars will be a small scale Avatar vs Hurt Locker
  12. I believe that $4M budget for the Boy Next Door because well the movie has that TV movie look on it and JLo knows she does not have commanding power to ask for more since what was her last box office hit anyway? JLo needed a hit and she's going to have one with this movie.
  13. Wow at Sniper And very good OD for The Boy Next Door! Cookies > Mustache!
  14. well January is usually for the Nut Job and Strange Magic type of B level animation so this is quite surprising for DWA to do but maybe it willwork
  15. Another 4-year wait so I guess the characters will age too the same time too, right?
  16. January! Well I hope they keep the budget as low as possible

  18. I think that's true because he's also a producer of the movie so I could just imagine the backend deal he has for this
  19. Yeah probably, the live action scene was pretty lengthy as well So sorry Spongebob: Out of Water for next year's nomination then
  20.
