Caught this yesterday. Not sure why I watched it. This film is basically an insult to human intelligence.
Filled with robots (who also conveniently talk to themselves alone in English for the audience purposes because we're that dumb), product placement everywhere, one of the dumbest "romance" relationships I've ever seen in a movie, dumb characters and really dumb cliches. Also plenty of ass shots thrown in, because you know, fuck it.
Action scenes with robots fighting each other are supposed to be its redeeming quality of the Transformers series, but in this film it was extremely difficult to follow and you had no idea who was on what's side because everything is in your face and the film was filled with endless human character interaction bloat that was cringeworthy at best (even at one point the two retarded/idiot robot twins were telling racist jokes too, quite a low point even for a Bay film).
Advanced robot alien race, still can't fix a voice processor, but can broadcast everyone's else's. Advanced robot race, able to use liquid human terminators. Only used once.
Hard to get invested in the characters if they're so stupid and able to survive anything (Sam falls three stories, survives. He falls in a car another few stories, not a scratch. Goes flying in midair a hundred feet, survives). The acting was pretty terrible, but not surprised at that aspect.
Human armies are useless as usual and filled with cliche bureaucrats.
I hope the series never reaches this level of stupidity again.
