  1. Really? I feel like none of the trailers for World's End were funny at all. As for You're Next, it might have done better if shown earlier, or at least before The Conjuring. I'm not sure how much of the GA is up for another scary flick. Trailers I guess look alright, Can't go wrong with creepy animal masks
  2. I'm assuming maybe he's just trying to be funny, lol.
  3. He's getting there at least! 20M more and then we'll be talking a bit more sense
  4. Idk if the 1.2B is a joke or not, but I would laugh so hard if the OS was anything close to that, even 1B. I'd probably crap my pants
  5. Only 7 months older than me!
  6. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JLAW!!!! 23 years old!!!
  7. OMG did anyone just see the latest episode of Masterchef?! I'm so livid right now. Oh.....and the show I'm watching right now is Masterchef
  8. AWWW!!! I just noticed that were a JLAW thread!!! THIS IS SO AWESOME!!!
  9. Freedom Writers has Hilary Swank, Patrick Dempsey are the only two big stars. It's such a great story, and perhaps I just love it because of the fact that I can relate to it in that my high school was diverse like that. It's a really great film.
  10. Just watched Freedom Writers. 10/10. That movie was so perfect. Just unbelievably perfect. It's very emotional.
  11. Wow. I just finished watching Freedom Writers (2007). Holy crap. That is an unbelievable movie. It's so good, it had me crying at parts. My high school was diverse just like that, and reminded me of it a lot. It's such a good movie. Everyone should watch it, it really is good and emotional.
  12. Pretty much, Japan is so much up in the air right now. I can only hope that it goes higher than 5M, hell I'll be happy with 6M Just don't go down Japan! Don't do it!!!
  13. Well I just had that 'little' hope inside me that was thinking (or hoping) Japan would break out really high......but then it went away, and went with fact Still, if Japan does do 10-15, I'll take it. Not great, but could be worse, at least it wouldn't go down. lol.
  14. I agree with pretty much all of this. Europe I think is a def. Brazil isn't locked, but it's getting there and should produce big numbers. Russia is also up there in possibility with Brazil. The only up in the air country is Japan and maybe China. Not to sure how those two will do. I have higher hopes for China than Japan. But like you said, 20 months of awareness is plenty of time for WOM to spread.
  15. I don't know about that. There was a good amount of familes that went (news channels interviewing families on youtube) to THG. What really stands out for THG series was that the first movie drew in more people over the age of 25 rather than younger than 25. That means better legs when you can draw in an older audience. Not to mention the first film showed that it is a 4 quadrant film, meaning that all groups of people (older than 25, younger than 25, males, females) will be attracted to watch it and enjoy it (most did). Unlike Twilight, and perhaps HP, this is as close to a 4 quadrant film as you can get. Granted, theses were domestic figures, but I think the same can be for OS as well.
  16. No matter what they did, not everyone would have liked it. If they had made it Rated R and a bloodfest, there would be people who loved the gore, and then the people who hated it because it was too gory. And vice versa. Honestly, would I have liked a bit more violence (not blood persay, but to see more), of course. Clove's death should have been what the book had, but they changed it and it was kind of eh. Overall I thought the games were effective and should show that gore does not equal scary.
  17. In that argument, I will agree. Lionsgate wanted more money, so they made it pg-13 and the games were a bit diluted of the violence. Some deaths were changed. The book was more violent and would have been rated R.
  18. In which the Capital is most definitely NOT idealised or perfect (well, techinicall THEY are perfect in the sense they have everything, but not in the society sense). It's dystopian. And pretty much like a dictatorship with one in charge.
  19. But that's how dumb the argument sounds, lol. You're basing them just on the fact that kids kill one another. That's that. Both Batman and Iron Man are brilliant, billionairs and don't have super powers, but fight crime with gadgets. But of course they aren't the same, because the whole story/set up is entirely different. Which again, proves my point between HG vs BR.
  20. Your logic then dictates that "Hey, Hmmm. A brilliant billionaire that uses high tech gadgets to fight against crime and evil without superpowers....guess who it is??? some raise their hands for Batman Some raise their hands for Iron Man Woah woah woah!!! Wait a sec! Iron Man is a rip off of Batman then apparently!!!
