  1. poor Girl in a Spider's Web getting lost in the shuffle, Swedish power artists, especially the female ones must be shitting themselves out of disgust!
  2. Spider's Web going from ~3,000 theater counts to just 2,400+ now to finally 2,929. they must be going loco with how that extra 500 theaters. multi-media/million dollar products like this making such huge shift announcements the week of could mean a changing film industry? possible Fantastic Beasts 2 could shut down Rotten Tomatoe's influence demanding a new cumulative app
  3. ^^ LOL, "a star is reborn". I'm predicting this movie went out of its way to be happy and it could destroy the new feminist Transfromers film
  4. if you go to 'filter' and select 'most viewed', Zero should already be about 15 spots down! - list of most viewed movie trailers on youtube https://www.youtube.com/results?sp=CAM%3D&search_query=movie+trailer
  5. Spider's Web not going to 3,200 theaters. Who knew. It could have lured 15M+ OW easily. Overlord should win in the standings. November 9 Theaters The Grinch 4,140 Girl in the Spider's Web 2,400+ Overlord 2,850 Beautiful Boy (2018) 840
  6. ughhh,.... generally guessing, you have to get through all of this^ to complete like 0.35 of a general physics bachelors degree. but don't think you need to be inside out on relativity/quantum but just go through everything that is there for general bachelors. … the wording and continuation with the puzzles just destroys attention, and the puzzle's completion seems as stiff as trying to make yourself fly

  8. they should make it a cliché pet spy movie where they either have cameras or they are Disney animatronics disguised as pets or aliens. can filmmakers independently make other animated pets movies almost exactly like this one and release them with the intention of making 300 million domestic?
  9. I think MPR being too wholesome could spell danger for the other movies. If this movie is too good, and the songs fit too well, repeat consumers over Bumblebee, Mortal Engines and Spidey-Verse is likely. It could end up being a boring Aquaman vs MP showdown

  11. The box office was pretty bad when Interstellar and Big Hero 6 opened following the 2014 depressing election where the Republicans impossibly took over. Mon-Wed ratios were normal indicating no election hangover, but Thursday was not good and Interstellar did not break out. There could be a similar situation this year with Wednesday being good, but Thursday previews slowly depreciating from Wednesday #1, and an overall subpar weekend. Fantastic Beasts in 2016 opened to disappointing #s after Trump won, still too early to tell where November will land this time. *Gone Girl did increase on Thursday though Rank* Title Monday 11/3 Tuesday 11/4 Wednesday 11/5 Thursday 11/6 1 FURY (2014) Sony / Columbia 3,313 $835,167 -66.7% / $252 $60,992,074 / 18 $1,103,445 +32.1% / $333 $62,095,519 / 19 $852,441 -22.7% / $257 $62,947,960 / 20 $820,269 -3.8% / $248 $63,768,229 / 21 2 INTERSTELLAR Paramount 249 N/A N/A $1,350,209 -- / $5,423 $1,350,209 / 1 $801,244 -40.7% / $3,218 $2,151,453 / 2 3 NIGHTCRAWLER Open Road Films 2,766 $950,530 -63% / $344 $11,391,530 / 4 $1,235,750 +30% / $447 $12,627,280 / 5 $865,025 -30% / $313 $13,492,305 / 6 $752,572 -13% / $272 $14,244,877 / 7 4 GONE GIRL Fox 2,834 $696,332 -68.4% / $246 $136,978,838 / 32 $892,670 +28.2% / $315 $137,871,508 / 33 $723,567 -18.9% / $255 $138,595,075 / 34 $733,347 +1.4% / $259 $139,328,422 / 35 5 JOHN WICK Lionsgate/Summit 2,589 $767,466 -66.7% / $296 $28,300,636 / 11 $996,790 +29.9% / $385 $29,297,426 / 12 $738,984 -25.9% / $285 $30,036,410 / 13 $633,249 -14.3% / $245 $30,669,659 / 14 6 ST. 12. December musical looking to pass the 200M mark of BR and Star is Born. opening on Wednesday, 2 days before pioneer Aquaman goes for 200-300 million, and 2 days before feminist Transformers extravaganza counters everything else. Spidey-Verse will cause a lot of damage, Mary Poppins should nonetheless take the single ticket buyers during the Holiday. nothing else promising awards-wise stands out.
  13. reminded me of Ang Lees Incredible Hulk when he goes with multiple screens in the movie.... then Suicide Squad when like hundreds of hours of footage was shot for each character who was then given a quick intro Revenge of the Sith had a similar intro when they did Order 66 and fashioned the entire Clone Wars down to like a bunch of planets. I'm not sure other movies can borrow that idea that Ang Lee did, maybe it is patented? and it might force movies to repeat the same cliché formulas This could make Avatar a one and done thing.
  14. RIP they would go with God then, but it wont change what is done here and we should concentrate on moving on with freeing Avatar's creative rights.
