    Marvel movie just passed 2.5 multi days ago. (Different circumstances.)

    Third Thor took a pretty huge leap without a huge hook (Hulk guest star). Third CA and DS made huge jumps but with obvious hooks. Seems like AM’s smaller nature (huh huh) left more room for a big jump. MCU legs have arguably slightly recovered lately. DS2, 2.19. T4, 2.38. BP2, 2.5. Small sample, but still a little life.

    As a stan, I’m definitely down for Sam to lead Bucky, new Falcon and whoever around. Would need a little more oomph though. Sabra? Eh. Rhodey? She-Hulk?

    There’s some reason to the saturation argument. Not sure it will apply here. GA is going to so exhausted from watching/not watching She-Hulk and Ms. Marvel that they won’t see this?

    GA, or analysis of GA, has been schizophrenic on these movies. After AOU, “Oh gosh, it’s too complicated.” After IW and EG, “Of course, MCU has advantage of epic saga to pull people in.”

    But Scott also has heavy guilt from being in prison when Cassie was very young. It’s gotta be huge in his mind. Big hero, but absent dad.

    MCU fatigue really hit in 2022. The 3, 4 and 8 domestic. A brutal rejection. Yeah.

    Some of y’all are weird. Quantumania with Kang the Conqueror requires crazy worlds of CGI and a thicket of multiversal issues. If you don’t like the whole CBM thing, that’s fine. Being against cataclysmic events in them is going to frustrate you.

    I’m a comic book person, so I’m used to a bunch of characters. What are you seeing that makes you think this has too many characters? Main hero has to be replaced. Main villain has to be replaced.

    Are people seeing putting Deadpool and Logan together as some kind of a trick or grasping? It is entirely predictable and inevitable within the genre. That’s a strength of the genre. Shuffling, rebooting. Did someone just post that BP’s ticket sales would be $800+ dom now? Makes $500m seem for this really realistic.

    I didn’t say criticism can’t be made of a sitcom. I actually said the opposite. The consistency of quality is always debatable. I’m not sure where the storytelling lacks competence. Its pretty straightforward, linear storytelling. New episode has brief plot that ties in with arc.

    I baffled that people are baffled about how a weekly half-hour sitcom works. That format isn’t so ancient. Quality can vary obviously. I really like this show.

    I thought you were doing the Thanos speech about the Avengers’ inability to deal with failure. But I needed a picture.

    Um. Yeah. Eternals had its chance. It did not work out. I’ll see the sequel, but it just pushes other possibilities farther down the road.
