  1. That's why I'm not really heavily predicting on Marvel films; I'm merely giving rough guesstimates until we have some form of evidence TA has sparked extra interest in the solo films.Iron Man 3, provided quality is good, will give us major insight as to exactly how big of an impact (if any) it's had on the series, therefore allowing us to better predict for Thor, Cap and so on.
  2. I'm thinking somewhere in the 470m-530m range. Now I prepare myself for the "The Avengers did $880m OS and.. Blah blah blah"
  3. Not really surprising. People don't really seem to give a damn about box office reporting. On a sunnier note, after increasing 86.7% on last weekend, The Sapphires has now made a total of $126,218 in North America!

  5. That's really big for The Croods, but it'll be even more impressive if its only the 4-day estimate (generally our studios give their 5-day estimates on these long weekends).Pretty standard for Joe. Good, but expected.
  6. The Sapphires expanded into 12 Theatres this weekend and is up 113% on last Friday; 8 day cum $73,000 :D :DI really hope it goes a lot wider, even a few hundred!

  8. It's alright. Nothing spectacular but I did enjoy it.A solid 6/10 and I personally don't think it was better than the first.
  9. Amazing. 9.5/10.I thoroughly enjoyed it and kids and adults were loving the film the entire; it got an applause from the entire cinema at the end!Incredible story and spectacular graphics (2D).
  10. So I saw The Croods and GI Joe 2 today...The Croods was one hundred times better than Joe (but still good); both 3/4 full sessions!
  11. $30.5m would be a better second weekend weekend than HTTYD. Just sayin.
  12. That's pretty much the range I was expecting for both! With school holidays, Croods should be able to reach >20m!
  13. Fantastic! Seeing this in the morning and I'm really looking forward to it - huge fan of the first!
  14. That figure is really hard to use.We can't measure if people are choosing to see shows at 7pm as opposed to midnight? Are the earlier shows actually bringing in more of an audience or is the midnight-base simply being shifted to 7pm? It would be a huge cost-saving feature for cinemas!
  15. Like TASM, I'm assuming it'll just an extra-leggy run. Smaller numbers to begin with.
  16. For once, a studio actually caught on to the fact that people don't want a sequel (myself not included)
  17. Hopefully an estimate tomorrow or Tuesday (actuals)
  18. I know exactly what you mean, this just seems to have a much bigger marketing campaign and its everywhere.Although I'm not going $5m high.. 3.7m - 10.3m
  19. Life Of Pi: $121m in 121 Days!
  20. The Godfather. I dont know if its the actual longest movie Ive seen, but it sure felt like a lifetime. I couldnt get to the end.
