  1. For animated this is the first year the entire academy got to vote for nominations. Before it was just the animated branch. Yeah, there’ve been snubs, but they didn’t even go indie picks really this year.
  2. He’s not talking about Patrick Stewart lol.
  3. ??? I read that wrong? Who missed? Gotta double check
  4. The Sufjan song snub (with TGS getting in no less) is puke worthy though.
  5. I think SOW is in the best spot rn, but I still could see TB, Get Out or Lady Bird taking it over it. If SOW wins WGA and DGA it’s done though.
  6. Phantom Thread overperformed but Oldman’s winning lol.
  7. Yeah, I think the directing snub is big for TB unless it pulls an Argo. If Greta or Peele pull a surprise DGA win then there’s a race
  8. They totally saw Franco on the noms and quickly scratched his name off in panic
  9. I missed on a 5/5 because I didn’t trust my spreadsheet lol. I was like “no double nom” and changed harrelson for hammer. Dumb panda, robots > man.
  10. Yikes I got smacked on this category, only 3/5 Bur I like the nominees more than my predicts. Quite a few 5/5 though, that’s neat
  11. How flawed will my new prediction system turn out to be? Let’s see
  12. I hope they don’t force a twist villain for the sake of it. Coco and BH6’s villain were pretty obvious despite attempting to be twists. Zootopia’s villain wasn’t a shocker but it was fairly well done. Frozen’s was fine. Wreck-It Ralph built it up the best imo. I’d prefer they actually develop the villain, twist villains often make you sacrifice building up the character because you’re trying to hide it.
  13. My research is definitely entitled, "Furries: An Experimental Approach to Fetish Building and the Nash Equilibria of Attraction Using Sequential Games"

  16. The Big Sick and umm not sure what else. Maybe Good Time?
  17. I think Villeneuve should take the Bond film first then use the good will to make this. I want him to be able to make whatever he wants and not be hindered because a few of his movies underperformed.
  18. The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is a pretty emotional show. Can’t believe I just started binging this now. It May even be as good as Master of None.
  19. Right now I’d say Billboards - 50% SOW - 25% Get Out - 7.5% Lady Bird - 7.5%
  20. I think you’re fine. The backlash against Ansari as a person is kind of BS.
