  1. I'll see how my precursor data lines up but this is my biggest grievance against predicting Three Billboards. Pre-Preferential Ballot, as long as your movie has the largest passionate base you won (which means there was more room for anyone who wasn't apart of that base to dislike the movie), maybe it's one of the reasons we kept getting 'weak' winners like Shakespeare in Love and such. Post-Preferential Ballot, movies need a large enough base to not get eliminated from the first few rounds of voting, and they need to be well-liked by the people that didn't place it at number 1 (as in, they'll place it numbers 2-3). In 2016: La La Land had a lot of detractors, despite a lot of people loving it In 2015: The Revenant had a lot of detractors, despite a lot of people loving it In 2014: Birdman didn't have many detractors and it had a passionate base, so it won In 2013: Gravity had a lot of detractors, despite a lot of people loving it In 2012: Argo was an easy consensus choice (plus Affleck controversy) In 2011: Weak year, The Artist had the most consensus and a passionate base In 2010: First year of the Preferential Ballot, but The King's Speech seemed to have a lot of universal guild passion Three Billboards has a lot of detractors and Get Out/Lady Bird do not. However, Get Out and Lady Bird both missed the BAFTAs which is pretty major. If they miss the DGA then I don't think they have enough support to still be in contention.

  3. Didn't even know MDB was ineligible, that definitely is a major blow to Get Out and LB. If 3B starts winning some of the guilds awards, then it's a done deal.
  4. 1. The Post 2. Deadpool 2 3. First Man 4. Mary Poppins Returns 5. Solo: A Star Wars Story 6. Roma 7. Isle of Dogs 8. Mary, Queen of Scots 9. I, Tonya 10. Ready Player One
  5. With Critics awards Get Out seems to be playing much better in American circles (as it is about American issues that aren’t as accessible to foreigners). Darkest Hour doesn’t mean too much for its chances of getting in when it’s missed more important precursors like PGA and SAG
  6. Went back and checked, Million Dollar Baby was the last time (since 2004/2005) the BP winner missed the BAFTA nom. Also Million Dollar Baby did NOT win the Globes that year, the Globes matched with BAFTAS by picking the Aviator. It is worth noting they haven’t matched the BP winner the last three years in a row, but that doesn’t mean too much. With the preferential ballot, Three Billboards could end up like La La Land and be disadvantaged.
  7. This is a big hit for Lady Bird and Get Out. Technically there’s not loads of crossover between BAFTAS and guilds voters, but there is some. When’s the last time a BP winner for the Oscars didn’t get a BAFTA BP Nomination?
  8. I have a major role in a little movie called DEADPOOL 2!!!
  9. Did you guys know the song “Jesus loves the little children” is really about how Jesus loves Pandas. Think of the line “Red and yellow, black and white they are precious in his sight. Jesus loves the little children of the world” Red Pandas, Giant Pandas are black and white and of course Yellow is a tacos slang for somebody from China (Pandas). Jesus loves Pandas not the little children
  10. Here’s a good visualization of what my arms look like
  11. WHAT WAZ YOUR OPINION ON BORN IN CHINA??????
  12. I wonder when they’ll release a trailer, there’s lots of movies to market but if they want to make it a Christmas event I reckon by March/April at the latest
  13. It’s gonna be a bright, bright, bright sun shiny day.
  14. These things are cyclical, but Sony has had a good year (especially compared to have their previous years have gone). I’m a bit worried that they can only milk Spidey so much though.
  15. Still not sure how apps or VR really does anything that this one didn’t really cover. They’re both still video games and this avatar image thing was practically VR.
