  1. I still haven't seen anything top people taking their 3 - 8 year olds to see a late night showing of the Revenant
  2. 1. Dunkirk 2. Detroit 3. A Ghost Story 4. War for the Planet of the Apes 5. Blade Runner 2049 6. Star Wars: The Last Jedi 7. Wind River 8. It 9. The Florida Project 10. mother!
  3. Are people really saying reviews are what's hurting DM3 when a movie called The Boss Baby came out this year? People are really going overboard on the tomato law.
  4. I should have made my DM3 < DM DOM club I had thought about a few weeks ago
  5. Looks like Minions reception did take its toll. Should open around 85 - 95m, we'll see how legs pan out.
  6. He also invented the Telegraph, Telephone and Television. They're in his name!
  7. Even DC fanboys should realize "Martha" is one of the most iconically bad cinematic moments in recent history.
  8. Yeah, I think people are going a bit to crazy on the strength of RT for its predictive value. I think reviews play a factor and can help or hurt a movie, but people are acting like it's the sole thing causing movies to sink or swim.
  9. I tend to avoid betting money, even if I'm confident in winning. But I'd especially avoid making bets I can't (or wouldn't be willing to) pay.
  10. I do think BD is a case of critics helping a movie though. When it's a smaller movie, with a unique enough concept to appeal to the GA, I think the reviews get it into people's radar.
  11. Less proof of Tomato and more proof that franchise fatigue is a thing (especially after a poorly received third installment).
  12. Im sad to see him decide to be done but there was no way in hell he'd ever do a blockbuster flick, even if he wasn't quitting. He's not a huge star (outside of filmbuffs) and with how selective he is I doubt he'd have any interest playing some silly comic book character.
