People obviously aren't going to go the movies as much (especially weekdays) when they're at work and school and not wanting a getaway from the house.
Add the weather as a factor (which happens a lot around this time of year) and the drops really aren't bad at all.
Those are Critic awards. They're decent precursors, but the critic circles can be inconsistent at picking BP (which is fine, they're their own thing).
What'll be the telling signs is what wins PGA, DGA, SAG (kind of, La La Land wasn't really eligible for Ensemble), and BAFTA
We don't know about others who learned the language, but I don't think Ian actually did. He helped decipher some, but he never learned it to the point he could actually write/speak it to the Aliens like Louise could.
I'm thinking with Jackie buzz being fairly low and La La Land being all the rage, Emma Stone takes best actress.
A complete 180 from what I thought at the beginning of the month where I thought Portman had it locked down.
If Portman loses the Globe and Stone takes the SAG, then I'd say the race is done.
