  1. Logan looks like it could be an actual quality level comic book film. But lol at it doing a 100m OW, it isn't Deadpool. (For clarification, I had deadpool pegged at 85m OW quite a bit before release. So while I undershot, I wasn't loling at the thought of 100m Ow for that)

  3. It's kind of like how Tele's troll Interstellar under BB post/club ended right to some degree.
  4. Not always. However, they seem to rarely go with a blockbuster for the actual win. Id still say Arrival is the frontrunner, though.
  5. The fact that they nominated Milly Bobby Brown makes my heart warm. Girl deserves it. I am upset about the Lena Headey snub though, her Cersei really makes the show. This also gives Manchester by the Sea and Moonlight an edge over La La Land.
  6. Lord of the Rings is a good example of how to make special effects nearly timeless. (same with Star Wars)
  7. So, I've spoiled myself on City of Stars and now I'm listening to the song on loop. It's simplistic, addicting, pleasing to the ear, and it's making me want to do a facebook cover video for it.
  8. I agree. Plus, I think people need to be easier with using the term racist. Otherwise, when an actual racist comes around (like Donald Trump), the word has lost its power. There are discrimination problems in every industry that should be fixed. But I wouldn't go as far as calling every industry having any sort of discrimination/representation problem actually racist or sexist.

  10. Before this year, no franchise has taken the domestic crown two years in a row. Star Wars is going to win it at least 3 years in a row now.
  11. Does it matter? If the first script was ranked at 0, then no matter the multiple the new ones must be zero.
  12. 1x, as obviously this movie isn't an event and only the fanboys are going to see it.
  13. Why is the marketing pushing taglines like, "I'm back" when I never knew he was here in the first place.
  14. Thats your problem, you went to the LiMax. I also went to the opening night showing.
  15. Oh yeah, I got a free Rogue One poster when from the IMAX Theater I saw it at. Definitely going to hang it up with my Star Wars stuff.
  16. I'll get to see it eventually, but I'm doubting I'll see it before I do my top x list of the year now. Ill get to see Manchester, La la Land, Fences, and Hell or high water at least
  17. Im disappointed. I missed my chance to see Moonlight last thanksgiving, and now that I'm back in the DFW area for a month it's not playing anymore.
  18. Maybe it's because they're literally the African American Film Critic Association, you know, about recognizing African American talent in the industry.
