  1. Thats an overly generous Friday jump. It's been tracking similar to Guardians (slighrly trailing it), it's likely going to have a a jump in the 60s. The target audience for this is out of school and won't necessarily just see it on weekends.
  2. This was one of the most jacked up, blatantly offensive, crude, over the top movies I've ever seen... And it was glorious. I nearly died laughing, I came in thinking itd run the same gag to ground (and it does) but it never ceases to be funny. It pushes every joke too far, and it's all the funnier for it. I couldn't stop laughing throughout the entire movie. This may even top This is the End as Rogen's straight up, funniest movie. Not only was it hilarious, but despite all of the low-brow humor, the movie actually manages to have a brain with its concept and plays it to the fullest. It's a ridiculous satire with so much going on that I could watch the movie five times and still not catch ever joke and gag. Yeah, the movie is ridiculous, it's consistently loud and in your face, but it doesn't matter because it's flat out hilarious. This is what comedies are meant to be. The final act is one of the funniest things put to screen this decade, maybe even this millennium. The movie isn't necessarily the most brilliant filmmaking you'll see this year, but it does exactly what it promises. It fully delivers and I'll give Sausage Party an A
  3. This movie was a sensory overload of hilarity. Rogen outdid himself with this one. In regards of straight humor, the funniest comedy of the year.
  4. I don't reasonably see how it gets higher than 50m. It's been slightly trailing GOTG throughout its run, and will likely keep doing so (with the exception of Tuesday, which is explainable). It'd need to start having much better drops than GOTG going forward to have a shot at that high of a weekend.
  5. I'm thinking Thu: 8.4m (-13%) Fri: 13.4m (+60%) Sat: 17.4m (+30%) Sun: 12.2m (-30%) Wknd: 42m (-68%) The daily number itself isn't terrible, but it does indicate that a 65%+ drop is looking more likely than not.
  6. This was spectacular, but I'm absolutely livid at that ending. How could it do that to me. That was so cruel.
  7. And they are also consumers. Plus, they are paid to give an opinion on whether a movie is worth the consumers money and time to see. They are speaking for the consumers benefit.
  8. Personally, a 71% drop would be a lot more fun to watch on these forums. But sadly, life isn't always a thrill ride and we're probably going to get a boring 60-67% drop
  9. Still, I think the argument you made that FF opened less is the much better one to make.
  10. Not necessarily agreeing with Gopher completely, but I find that to be odd logic. I've never noticed a correlation between a movie sucking and it having better Tuesday increases than one that didn't.
  11. In all actuality, Civil War was a Marvel movie with many of its popular characters in it, and they chose to give it a Captain America title for logistical purposes. It is not one singular thing. It's a Captain America sequel. It's an Age of Ultron sequel. It's a Spider-Man reboot. It sets some background as a Black Panther prequel. It is an Iron Man v Captain America movie. It is all of those things, and it's silly to argue that it's only one of them.
  12. I disagree, it was a Spider-Man reboot.
  13. It makes sense (especially from what you had said earlier this summer) that discount Tuesdays continue to grow, and this is evidence of that.
  14. I'd reckon a stronger Tuesday increase will result in larger Wed and Thurs decreases, like we've seen all summer. Id say, Tue: 14.2m Wed: 9.8m (-30%) Thurs: 8.4m (-14%) Fri: 13.2m (+57%) Sat: 17.8m (+35%) Sun: 12.5m (-30%) Wknd: 43.5m (-67.5%)
  15. It definitely had a great sense of magic and maturity to it. It wasn't afraid to be thematic, and it kept me entranced and my imagination afloat. Plus, Zimmer gave one of his best scores with this movie.
  16. A Deadpool Eye in the Sky Finding Dory Hunt for the Wilderpeople The Little Prince The Nice Guys Zootopia B The BFG 10 Cloverfield Lane Captain America: Civil War Hail, Caesar! Into the Forest The Jungle Book Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping The Shallows Sing Street Star Trek Beyond Talullah Warcraft C The Angry Birds Movie Bolgen Central Intelligence The Conjuring 2 The Finest Hours Jason Bourne The Legend of Tarzan Miracles From Heaven Nerve Hardcore Henry Risen The Secret Life of Pets X-Men: Apocalypse D Alice Through the Looking Glass The 5th Wave Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Dirty Grandpa The Divergent Series: Allegiant God's Not Dead 2 Jane Got a Gun London Has Fallen My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 Suicide Squad Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows F The Choice The Darkness Independence Day: Resurgence Nine Lives Norm of the North Ratchet and Klank Z 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Bengazi
  17. Suicide Squad is a success no matter how bad the legs end up being. However I do think WB is padding their estimates and actuals will come in around 130-132m or so.
