    So TGG will be number 1 for just one day in the entirety of its run.

    I think two things need to happen 1) Studios need to release more kid-friendly movies in April. 2) First weekend of May is now officially one of the biggest weekends of the year. There is no reason for other studios to concede it to just one Super Hero movie. They need to contest this weekend.

    Bradley Cooper is not a true A-lister as he has not consistently carried movies on his name alone. However, he is one of the most in-demand actors in Hollywood because he has a very high name recognition and is considered likeable.

    Snyder is holding me back from getting on the MoS bandwagon. His movie trailers are usually better than the movies themselves and that's a problem.

    Why are they so high on The Wolverine ? I'll be surprised if it breaks $150 million.

    I don't have any hard data but based on a cursory glance, it is doing well in big cities and about average in smaller towns. My guess is that it will need very strong west coast numbers to make $20 million Friday.

    Children Of Men is overly pretentious mess that uses every single post-apocalyptic trope that has been introduced to cinema in the past fifty years. If I ever want to see a single shot goodness I always go back to Touch Of Evil. Children of Men adds nothing to cinema and film.

    Children Of Men is possibly one of the most overrated movie I have ever seen. Cuaron's best work is that movie with Gael Garcia Bernal and all the credit should go to an excellent script.

    He is competing with Kubrick which will divide the critics. The trailer is great because it lasts for less than 90 seconds but the movie will be two hours long which won't sit well with GA.

    My prediction is that Gravity will be this year's Cloud Atlas. It will divide critics and bore the fuck out of GA.

    Really great post. They are both incredibly boring actors and this movie is just a bad fit for these two.
