DEADLINE....... This morning Disney is reporting $88.3M for the second weekend of Beauty and the Beast, the fourth best second weekend of all-time, with a 10-day cume of $317M. However, the industry is seeing the Bill Condon musical higher with a $90.4M second weekend take.

Deadline loves to underestimate so they can throw out headlines all weekend saying the movie is powering past it's estimated boxoffice. Thet get much more clicks that way!

Excellent Question.... I agree with some of the others on JW2 if it's great. Not so sure about any DC movie until they get their shit together. If this upcoming Spiderman is fantastic it may get some support for the next one if more Avengers show up? Avitar had it's 15 minutes of fame. Most of the people that I know only went to experience the 3d visuals. They story was so-so. Huge drop like Alice..... No other Animation out there besides Pixar/Disney that has any chance at 500. Maybe some kind of Harry Potter reunion in the future?

After 3 days....170 million Beauty and the Beast is the 250th biggest domestic movie of all time.

From Deadline..... Disney is calling the weekend safely at $170M (all records mentioned still stand) due to an estimated Sunday that’s down 31%, but the whole town believes that Beauty and Beast has nowhere to go, but up.

Pirates of the Caribbean 5 will get great reviews and WOM and do over 300m domestic - 1100m worldwide. They look to have some great writers on this one.

Didn't see Wild Life.... I enjoyed Ice Age 5 and Norm. At least they made me laugh.....unlike Pets

Sing couldn't even hold Frozen's Snow Balls! Sing was only slightly better than Pet's. And Pets was my worse animated movie of the year.

Ok....just got back from taking my nieces to Sing. The trailers were great for Sing and I was looking forward to it. The movie was Blah....at best. Sorta like Pets (good trailers-bad movie)

Saw RO for the second time last night. The place was 3/4 full. I believe it's a fantastic movie and in my top three of the year with Jungle Book and Zootopia. Huge applause among the group of first time viewers I was with. The Force was with us......as we missed being in an automobile accident by a couple of inches on the way home.

I think Pixar heard fans loud and clear after Cars2 and will make this film a fantastic adventure. I have faith in John Lasseter!
