Firedeep is always pesimisstic but he has a point. Webb's Spider Man have yet to regain the kind of populariy Raimi's Spidey had. It's kinda sad to think that if Raimi had had one or two more movies, Spider man would have been the first CBM to reach the billion's mark...and this without 3D, without IMAX. As a character Spidey has lost his luster both domestic wise and abroad even if he remains popular, especially abroad. The way i see things right now, CA3 may even enter that billion's club before TASM 3/4. What irony for the most popular Marvel's property ! I really wish Spider Man would regain that kind of popularity Raimi's had and to finally reach that $1 billions' mark...

They really need to promote CA3 differently in Japan. If they can dig MI5, they certainly could have dug CA2. I think Japan is one of those countries that relies heavily on the popularity of the lead and Tom Cruise is massively popular. Chris Evans could have been popularized there because of his good looks and athletic performance in an espionnage thriller. That's a country where CA2 had the potential to reach $50M if IM5 reached $69 M. Those two movies have more in common than most Comic Book movies have with CA2.

What's the predictions for TASM2 ?

So we are looking around $107 - $110M for CA2 ?

I don't think it will be hit that hard since it will have already hit the likes of $230M. I mean if TASM could hit $262 M while being released two weeks only before TDKR, i don't think that CATWS on its 5th weekend will sudenly lose that much steam to miss the current trajectrory target of $250 M.

So Cap may hit $100M in China at the same time it hit $200M at home ? Nice....
