Even if it stay above $700 M and stays flat, it's not good. The fact that the production cost and the advertisment expenditures went through the roof, compared to the previous one, is a testament of them expecting a significant increase. Amy Pascal has been saying they expect $1 billion ! For the life of me, why are those top executives so vocal about setting a high target ? Didn't they learned from Robinov high expectation with MOS ?

I think TASM was still riding on Raimi's Spidey popularity and that Webb's Spidey true test of popularity is what we are experiencing now.

So CA2 is out till saturday the 3rd or till friday the 2nd ?

True but i don't know...it's kinda underwhelming universally. So i think $80M in China will be in itself a success compared to the 60+M of TASM1. I just think this movie seems to underperform everywhere and it doesn't bode well for the domestic release and in a long term point of view, it really doesn't bode well for the next sequel. It seems that Webb's Spiderman hasn't succeeding in making fans or even reataining fans all over the world, the way raimi did...Spidey is losing its supremacy status and popular spot and it will require a great breakthrough movie to even regain partially his former top status.

How does that translate compared to both TASM1 and CATWS ? Is it good, average or very good ?

Lol, not just mulatoo...quadroons, octorroons. Many Brasilians from long brasilian lineage (not second or third generation brasilian...but among the oldest lineage, basicly the one with portuguese ancestry) look white while having 1/4 or 1/8 african brasilian in them. Many have the african phenotype in them. Adriana Lima is a quadroon...1/4 afro brasilian, her father (i think ) is mulatto...If she was born in the US, she would be defined as an african american because of that one drop rule. She is basicly like Mariah Carey, 1/4 Black.. I have myself quadroons and octorron (1/8) cousins and nieces...some are white and blonds, others, from the same father/mother looks mulettoes, others have that exotic look a la Angelina Jolie...only Black folks could pinpoint that they have african ancestry in their blood because many african have in their families mulattoes, octoroons, ect.... Point is many Brasilians are mixed even when they don't look like it..

The writing was on the wall...TOW breaking out in Australia was an indication of its performance at home. Congrats to the cast...and girls power !

So what what final take could we expect in Russia for TASM2 ?

I think Spidey is suffering from rehashing the same story over and over again. They should have never retold Spiderman origin story...they should just went along with what Raimi has done, and improve from there, innovate, introducing other villains and just focus on doing a good movie. Reboots are never a good option so soon after a beloved trilogy, just do like James Bond, replace the lead, make him evolving and introduce another adventure of him with some kinda continuity.
