  1. James Gunn...pictures of a party surface...Disney had to do it...you hire the guy back, something new surfaces, and you look like an idiot. Disney and Marvel have a 90 billion brand, focused at kids, to protect. I would just cancel Guardians 3...just quietly leave it off the phase 4 unveiling. Waititi is uh...open to Thor 4, uh 🙂... Its pretty obvious that any new director will be unfairly lashed out at by the Gunn fans. Marvel shouldn't even put Waititi, or whoever, in that position. Ant-Man faced a similar popular director issue, and that didnt hurt Marvel, but this is a lot more volatile 🙂. Marvel's putting it out there, that they're using Gunn's script, but that's not gonna stop the backlash aimed at the new director, and the film.
  2. OdinSon2k14 234 Posted July 22 2018 Rogues list through mid-August: #1-Thanos/Ebony Maw (Infinity War) 2. Skeletor (The First Purge) 🤣 3. Michael B Jordan's Killmonger (Black Panther) 4. Walton Goggins' Mathias Vogel (Tomb Raider) 5. Felix Kendrickson (Blackkklansman) 😂 6. Josh Brolin's Cable (Deadpool 2) 7. Megalodon (The Meg) 8. (Transtlvania 3) 9. (The Equalizer 2) 10. Charlie Day's Doctor Newton (Pacific Rim: Uprising) 11. STEM The Computer Chip (Upgrade) 12. (Deadpool 2) 13. Indo-Raptor (Jurassic World 2) 14. Janson (Maze Runner: The Death Cure) 15. Blind Creatures (A Quiet Place) . 16.The New Founding Fathers (First Purge) 17. Patrolman Landers (Blackkklansman) 18. Anthony "Gas Pipe" Casso (Gotti)
  3. What genius decided to do that jump scare in the trailer, where the woman is focused on the silent nun in front of her, and another nun rushes her from the left 🤣? Audiences are getting a kick out of that 😂😂
  4. Where's John David Washington been?! He's in his mid-thirties, and this is the first time I've heard of him. I didnt know he was Denzel's son until someone told me about a week ago. I dont watch Ballers...stuff like that 🙂...he definitely has Denzel's voice pattern 🙂
  5. There was some absurdity, but Blackkklansman was the best movie of the weekend. The Meg was an entertaining close second. Slenderman was...about what I was expecting...which wasn't much.
  6. Statham almost sabatoged himself, running his mouth about the PG-13 rating 😂! Keep your trap shut, at least until after the first two weekends 🤣!
  7. Actually, there would have been a greater chance of it going the opposite direction 😂. The Rock cant sell a ticket in the US 😂
  8. 😂...The Meg is being hailed as: -A love letter to the shark movies of old -dumb, turn-off-your-brain summer action fun -brainless popcorn movie fun Somewhere, Dwayne Johnson is steaming 🤣
  9. I've seen my share of NatGeo nature shows 🙂...question...I've never seen a shark behave like a "mass murderer" 🙂. Yeah, it'll tear a stingray to pieces, but once its had its fill of that ONE victim, that's the end of its thurst for violence until next time 🙂. Am I wrong about that? A tiger shark is pretty ferocious...
  10. "The Meg eyes 36M first bite in the US" Keep them coming 🤣😂t I agree with the reviewers that it really could have benefited from an R rating. It almost doubled low end projections, so it didnt matter in the end.
  11. On my way to the premium AMC theater 🙂 The puns these guys are using are hilarious. "Devoured 4 million from previews", "chomped 7 million overseas" 🤣
  12. "$280 million worldwide is perfectly fine for a $125 million budget. It will make a profit once all is said and done." The blockbuster business isnt about making an eventual profit "once all is said and done". Its a about making money TODAY 🤣. If The Rock's starring vehicles keep earning a small profit "once all is said and done", he'll be headlining the cable tv movie of the week very soon 🤣. "The Rock says is profitable so is profitable " The Rock has shown that he's the LAST person you want to go to for accurate math 🤣. He claimed Baywatch made its budget back in one week, and Jumanji made more money for Sony than Skyfall 🤣
  13. I was saying...The Rock likes to save face by bringing up that, while his starring roles do lukewarm business in the US, they do well in China. Actually though, you really want to sell tickets everywhere else BUT China 🤣! The only one that gets paid from China's box office is CHINA 🤣! 75%! You're getting nothing towards your overall production costs or advertising. You have to do Transformers/Avengers type money, to get a decent cut there. They cant wait to grant The Rock's movies a spot during the China blackout period! They're pocketing three quarters of The Rock's gross! Here's your quarter Dwayne, pleased to do business 🤣!
  14. The James Gunn supporters, smh...in this day and age of hyper sensitivity, a company worth tens of billions, isnt going the risk that, by keeping a guy that made fun of rape and pedophilia. What would it say if they hired him back?! It would send the message that what he said, didnt matter, and you can IMAGINE the "#metoo" heat that would bring upon Disney. Look at it from Disney's perspective too. 6-7 years ago, this guy was still in his MID-fourties! Granted, people can change their ways at that age. It could just be that he's working for Disney now, so he's not stupid enough to say these thoughts publicly anymore. It's a gamble that, as a multi-billion entertainment institution, you cant risk. Bautista, well, Guardians has many members in the comics not yet added to the movies. They'll just add another one, to play the comedic relief. Theres a possibility that If they use Gunn's script, he'll have to be compensated...or they could be sued.
  15. Rare weekend where there are at least three releases I'm interested in. I'll see MEG and Slender Man this weekend, then Blackkklansman Monday.
  16. A HUGE threat 🤣...to Thanos/Ebony Maw's #1 2018 villain spot 🤣...Tom Hardy is playing the psychological breakdown perfectly 🤣!
  17. Cavill wants a-lister money, but, I dunno...theres something missing in his acting. Its, robotic? Monotone delivery. He has the a-lister physique, but his acting...
  18. How does Slappy return? He was sucked back into the other dimension. The only one that survived was the Invisible Man 🤣
  19. IMAX is avoiding 3D these days...so I'm not choosing that option as much as I used to...but with the stunts and action this movie is supposed to have, it might be worth the bigger, but flat, picture.
  20. Keegan Michael-Key's "rated E, for everyone" joke, featured in the trailer, was funny, but...in this #metoo age, I dont know if it was appropriate 🤣. I wouldnt have featured it in the trailer at least.
  21. The US is where you want to kick ass, it's the "glamour" region of the box office. It's the PRESTIGE. Repeatedly getting his tailed kicked here is really bothering The Rock 🤣. That's why he's emphasizing global. Even Rampage's #1 opening. Barely beat A Quiet Place, a low budget horror flick, in its second weekend. Even more embarrassing, AQP got off the deck, won the following weekdays, the following weekend, and crushed Rampage from then on 🤣. So this is really eating at The Rock's ego, so he goes into propaganda mode on his social media 🤣
  22. Unbreakable is a very quiet movie 🙂...Newton Howard is the composer, so I was expecting some sounds, but he had some easy work here. Most of the scenes are quiet, conversational. The loudest it gets is when Dunn goes to what I believe was the Amtrak/Regional Rail courtyard of 30Th Street Station here on Philly. He looks around at the commuters, and sees various visions of future crimes. Then you're surrounded by sounds. Other than that the movie is eerily quiet. Shyamalan's twist? You knew there's a possibility there could be something sinister about Elijah Price 🤣. So the twist wasn't earth shattering. Sinister is probably the wrong word. Insane 🤣. So now we're gonna see what Elijah's been up to, while incarcerated for 18 years 🤣.
