  4. Just a reminder a Murdoch could potentially run the Disney corporation. If you seriously think this is OK, please consider this. https://www.theguardian.com/media/2017/dec/05/disney-james-murdoch-21st-century-fox-ceo

  6. Somewhat related, but a recent YT video by Lindsay Ellis popped up talking about It, Stranger Things, and nostalgia. I'm just putting it here because it's both super entertaining, and I love Ellis' videos.

  10. http://people.com/movies/bradley-cooper-lady-gaga-a-star-is-born-photos/ Man, Bradley's long mangy hair is an awful look for him.
  11. Ferdinand 40 1065 3.76% Star Wars 3491 4503 77.53% Jumanji 57 1846 3.09% Greatest Showman 6 1562 0.38% After two weeks, the overall traction is...fine, I guess. Jumanji though is at a pretty decent start. (BTW, I'm looking at showtimes for that movie from Wednesday to Monday)
  12. The studio is based in Connecticut, so that'll be a problem. But in all honesty, why would Disney get rid of an animation studio, and create negative PR in doing so, when they can capitalize on having three successful animation studios, and create even more potential hit franchises?
  13. http://variety.com/2017/film/awards/darkest-hour-three-billboards-wga-awards-not-eligible-1202631189/ Darkest Hour and Three Billboards aren't eligible for the WGA Awards (and also Coco and a few other movies, but no one cares about them, so...) Keep in mind though that being ineligible doesn't automatically shut scripts out of the Oscar race.
  14. http://deadline.com/2017/12/cinemark-moviepass-moviegoing-membership-program-1202220387/ Cinemark’s starting their own Moviepass service.
  15. Ehh... Ice Age and Rio are popular enough properties Disney would likely want to exploit. If anything, having the marketing muscle of Disney would probably make their movies gross more money than what they currently do.
