  1. Bit surprised at how low What Men Want is according to BOP. I think it has really good potential for a solid gross.
  2. That would be a preview to OD ratio of about 4.86x. As a comparison, Ralph had 4.83x.
  3. @WrathOfHan I just realized I should have posted this picture, since...well you know.
  4. http://www.deluxecdn.com/dcinema//projectionistletter/projectionistletter_bumblebee_usa_20181221_150212.pdf Well...guess that's not happening.
  5. Anyways, next weeks' runtimes w/out credits and attachments: Aquaman: 2:15. Attachments unknown (likely Godzilla and Shazam) Bumblebee: 1:48. Wonder Park is attached. Mary Poppins: 2:04. Dumbo and Lion King are attached. Second Act: 1:40. The Best of Enemies and Uglydolls are attached Welcome to Marwen: 1:48. Glass, On the Basis of Sex, and Downton Abbey are attached.
  6. For comparison's sake, Ralph Breaks the Internet had $3.8M for its previews, while The Grinch had $2.2M. This will be more frontloaded than those movies, but this should put 40M on the table, no?
  7. 8. Speaking of which, y'all who love this movie also need to see Rise of the Guardians (Peter Ramsey directed that). A lot of the action in this movie seems to give off a lot of the same vibes as that film has, only without Alec Baldwin as a Russian Santa Claus.
  9. FWIW, my theater sold the most tickets tonight for the 5 PM show. Maybe I'm an outlier, but this still might see a decent family draw regardless.
  10. I can attest to my theater acting strangely with Spider-Verse. Stuff like Grinch and Ralph barely sold anything past 9 PM, but Spider-Verse has about 11 tickets sold for the 10:40 show tonight (maybe more, since I last checked it about 4 hours ago), and 19 tickets for 9:10, as well as 6 for 10:15 on Friday. Animated movies typically don't even have showtimes that go past 9:30 PM.
  11. Black Panther nears 5000 tickets sold. Spider-Verse is...not anywhere near that.
  12. Mortal Engines 40 1366 2.93% Spider-Man Into the Spider-Verse 251 3180 7.89% The Mule 46 852 5.40% Mortal Engines Comps: 22% of Maze Runner (5.4M) 36% of Tomb Raider (8.4M) 46% of Pacific Rim Uprising (13.1M) 18% of Ready Player One (7.7M) 67% of Skyscraper (16.6M) LOL hopefully it'll at least pass PRU's comp Spider-Verse Comps: 28% of Thor: Ragnarok (34.8M) 72% of Coco (36.8M) 199% of Ferdinand (26.7M) 129% of Jumanji (46.8M) 10% of Incredibles 2 (18.5M) 39% of Ant-Man and the Wasp (29.5M) 68% of Hotel Transylvania 3 (30M) 37% of Venom (29.6M) 57% of The Grinch (38.8M) 69% of Ralph (38.6M) Admittedly, I feel like the movie should have done a bit better than what current presales suggest, considering my area, but a lot of these comps are around the 30M range, which is what tracking suggests, so let's just go with this. Mule Comps: 184% of Mountain Between Us (19.4M) 57% of The Commuter (7.9M) 148% of 12 Strong (23.5M) 96% of 15:17 to Paris (12M) 78% of Death Wish (10.1M) 107% of Mile 22 (14.7M) 90% of First Man (14.4M) Seems pretty good to hit the mid to high teens at least.
  13. Givin' off some Handmaid's Tale vibes from that poster. Guess with Elizabeth Moss in the cast, that makes sense. Hopefully we'll get a trailer sometime soon as well.
  14. The main problem with Into the Woods was trying to adapt two vastly different acts and meshing them into one movie. The first act for the stage show is pretty light, in order to contrast with the dark tone of the second act. It works on stage, since there's an intermission, but not so much in a movie. This doesn't have that problem, so it'll probably do better with audiences.
