  1. A masterpiece. Probably the best allegory about the rise and true nature of capitalism.
  2. I don't think that On the Road is an erotic thriller but the other two definitely are. And they both look interesting. I 'd love to see a new decent erotic thriller. Internet porn killed the larger part of this sub-genre.I recently rewatched Sliver. Love the style, the atmospere and the music. And Stone is probably in her hottest look ever. The script though is beyond awful. It's still a guilty pleasure.
  3. He had two more films before The Sixth Sense.
  4. I forgot to put Audition in there. Really disturbing stuff going on there. Takes number 8 in my list so Dawn of the Dead is out.
  5. One of my all time favourites. It has an incredible replay value.
  6. Carpenter made the cult film Dark Star first.
  7. Cool list Baumer. From those i 've seen The Devil's Rejects is the only one i find pretty bad. I didn't enjoy some of them as much as you did but it's a nice list.Let me give mine1. The Mist2. The Others3. 28 Days Later4. Inside5. Frozen6. Session 97. The Descent8. Scream 29. The Strangers10. Dawn of the DeadAnd i don't consider Sleepy Hollow, The Sixth Sense, Triangle, I Saw the Devil or Cube horror films so i don't list them and the first Scream is over 15 years ago.
  8. Apocalypse Now!Blade RunnerRanBarry Lyndon (actually almost all of Kubrick films are a pleasure to watch)Most have been already been mentioned though. Some that aren't and i was really impressed by them areBronsonIn the Mood for Love2046AmelieThe White Ribbon
  9. Considering the pre-release drama about the shooting and editing of the film, those reviews are really surprising.I'm really interested.
  10. I think the moment it gets to 200m OS, Lions Gate will greenlight the third one.
  11. I really love Avatar's 2nd trailer. Actually i consider it one of the most epic trailers ever. I know it shows the whole story but i think it worked perfectly for the film. And to be honest there wasn't any great twists in the movie that could be exposed. Plus it most definitely didn't lack in money-shots.
  12. That's an incredible performance from The Avengers. Both dom and os.
  13. Overseas of course.I had it at 215m. I still think it can make it there. Hopefully a bit more so it can do 300m WW.
  14. BOM updated its OS number.http://www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=expendables2.htm66.5m so far.I think it will pass 200m.
  15. It will end up with a solid profit. The fact that it's an R rated scifi movie makes it even more impressive. But unfortunately wom isn't very good and a sequel is not a lock.
  16. That's true. He had a bunch of box office hits. He was a really capable director.
  17. He never reached his brother's level of acclaim but he always made stylish and mostly fun films to watch. My favourites are The Hunger, Enemy of the State and Spy Game. The news are shocking. His films will carry his legacy.R.I.P. Tony Scott.
  18. American Reunion and Ted are pretty huge also. Maybe you guys love comedies.
  19. It could get to 150m. OK numbers but not enough to even double its budget.
  20. Still too early to see where this is heading. But it needs some good numbers with the budget it has. It will probably do more than 150m.
  21. 110m OS.It did good in the OS markets. Cohen still has a decent sized fanbase.
  22. Still has a solid chance for 300m. Decent.
  23. Well except the UK it's doing some strong numbers OS. Better than the first. I hope this continues with the rest of the markets. The dom opening was disappointing.
