  1. There are some tough choices here. For good and bad quality.1. Titanic2. Toy Story 33. Avatar4. Return of the King5. The Dark Knight6. The Avengers7. Alice in Wonderland8. Dead Man's Chest9. On Stranger Tides10. Transformers 311. The Phantom MenaceNever seen DH2. Unfortunately i stopped caring for Harry Potter in number 5. I will probably watch the rest of the series soon though.
  2. The Avengers is a monster. It has a solid chance to reach 900m!Dark Shadows is trying to save some face. Those would be good numbers if the budget was logical. Now things don't look good. The Dictator is doing great numbers also. It will end up with over 100m easily. And American Reunion is turning out to a big hit. It has a chance of reaching 200m os! We will see a sequel.
  3. "Overseas, Dictator is doing better business, and should earn $30 million by Sunday from 29 markets." http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/battleship-box-office-dictator-avengers-326753 OS numbers look good.
  4. The Avengers continues to impress. Battleship's numbers are awful. The Dictator had a nice bump. What to Expect is having a poor opening. And Dark Shadows isn't holding good.
  5. Considering that the numbers are true...I think that Borat was the exeption to the rule. It's really edgy and weird for large audience and it was a huge surprise that it became so successful. With Bruno and The Dictator (from the looks of it) things are pretty normal if you think about it. He plays really edgy and out-there characters, his humor is beyond politically incorrent. I don't think that he can maintain a mainstream audience. If the 65m budget is true then it's completely ridiculous. OS markets will probably be much bigger but it still is a stupid idea to cost that much.Battleship is a flop if the numbers stay like that. OS numbers aren't good enough to save it. Looked bad from the beginning if you ask me.What to Expect is doing ok (but i don't know the budget to be certain). And The Avengers is just a phenomenon.
  6. I don't think anyone expected The Dictator to have a Borat type of success. I think they were looking for something between Borat and Bruno. And i'm not convinced yet that it won't do it. It still has Memorial weekend and i think it can reach 60m. Not a huge hit or anything but far from a flop or a failure. But we should probably wait for weekend numbers to be more accurate. The Avengers still go strong. I believe a 58m weekend could happen.
  7. This is an amazing and ground breaking performance for The Avengers. Never thought it would be that big.I'm still shocked with Hunger Games opening to over 150m but having a film over 200m on its first 3 days is just jaw dropping. The thing is that The Avengers is unbelievably crowd pleasing. In a way that the first two Shrek were. It could be leggy even with a huge opening like that. I tried to stay conservative this whole time but there is a very strong possibility that it will make more than 500m domestic. Adding the huge OS numbers and this is a historic run.As far as The Dark Knight Rises goes i don't think that it will break the OW record. I'm not sure it will match The Avengers' total either. But it's way too early to know for sure. As far as quality, it also has a big obstacle to overcome since The Avengers were really fun and really good. Of course from what i've seen from Batman so far suggests that the quality battle will be an easier one than the OW and total gross.

  9. I think it's obvious that the trailers show only half of the story. The funny parts and the presentation of the characters. It looks like it's getting darker and more magical at the end of the trailer so i think that it's going to be a typical Pixar surprise after that.
  10. My favourite Scorsese film right after Taxidriver. A masterpiece plain and simple. 10/10.
  11. It had a great run. 3D helped it in some marketplaces. A sequel is certain.
  12. Well in the end Titanic is doing great again. Definitely raises the bar for modern re-releases if it reaches 300m WW.
  13. FRIDAY 4:15 PM UPDATE: Strong matinees are helping Twentieth Century Fox newcomer The Three Stooges to overperform at the North American box office. It was #1 for matinees today. By 4 PM it was neck-and-neck with Joss Whedon’s The Cabin In The Woods at $6.4M-$6.5M. But the horror genre does better on Friday nights and the PG family fare best on Saturday mats. For the weekend, there’s a good chance Stooges could take down juggernaut The Hunger Games after Lionsgate’s 3 straight weeks atop the box office in the U.S. and Canada. Right now weekend projections are: Three Stooges $21M, The Hunger Games $21M, and Cabin In The Woods $17M. Hunger Games is looking like $4.7M-$5M today. Updated.
  14. I 'm late in the game. Most of my thoughts were already (and multiple times) been said. It 's just a jaw-droping number. 154m is massive for a film like this.It 's in the top-3 of the most sensational OW ever in my opinion, along with Spider-man and Passion of the Christ.
  15. 400m after the new trailer.
  16. Looks funny and the animation is great. I 'll definately see it.
