  1. Looks like $75M for LEGO Batman, $45M for Fifty Shades, and $25M for John Wick for the weekend. Nearly $150M right there. The kick that the box office needed.
  2. No, it's just Anastasia Steele's narration that was cut from the movies lol. Which also included the cutting of everyone's favorite character from the story, Anastasia's Inner Goddess. 7% with 41 reviews so far, oof.
  3. http://www.digitalspy.com/movies/fifty-shades-of-grey/feature/a820703/worst-50-shades-darker-quotes/ No, really, I'm dying over here. E.L. James has to be the worst author to ever strike a goldmine of any kind.
  4. This movie is trash and a disgrace to the first. Setting it on board a cruise ship was probably the dumbest choice they could've made. Everyone likes to rag on Keanu, but at least he smelled a dud from miles away.
  5. Emma Watson's American accent, yeesh. Otherwise, looks interesting.
  6. Will this end up with a single digits RT score? Place your bets now.
  7. In a season of only 8 episodes, I think that'll be easy. Also: it's too bad we're only going to see Aubrey Plaza's kooky character in delusions for now on.
  8. lol I'm only seeing this just because of my significant other. The perk is that it's not coming out of wallet (since I'm covering the tickets for LEGO Batman as part of a double feature).
  9. This is so different from all of the X-Men movies but it's a great change of pace. Definitely lives up to the hype. Dan Stevens is fantastic.
  10. E.L. James' more hands on involvement. She should be kissing the asses of the people who made the first movie that they were able to turn her embarrassment to literature into a movie that was at least watchable, if not exactly good.
  11. Fences is the kind of movie that could easily take home two acting wins. In fact, it's possible that La La Land, Fences, and Moonlight might be the only Best Picture nominees to win anything on Oscar night, and it actually sounds plausible (since Hell or High Water/Hidden Figures/Lion are all guaranteed to win nothing, Arrival and Hacksaw Ridge only stand chances in tech categories that could easily be lost to a La La Land domination, and Manchester by the Sea's only possible wins are in Actor and Screenplay).
  12. I feel like Actor is 50/50 between Denzel and Casey. No idea who is winning.
  13. It's either under embargo or they're hiding it until right before release (since everyone expects a critical drubbing again), which sounds plausible.
  14. The clips for this have made me really excited about watching it tomorrow night. Dan Stevens looks like he's gonna be killing it. Please don't let me down!
  15. Because how dare a woman be outspoken on real world issues, get back to the kitchen and cook me dinner you a fat broad. Basically.
