I expected a lot more, but the episode was worth it for the "Rick, do it. - Rick executing the guy, not even flinching" scene alone. So freakin badass.

Um... WB is constantly the No. 1 studio since 2005. Like, 5 out of 10 years they ended up on No. 1. And that's pretty much the only thing you know for sure, since profit wise you have no clear, 100% accurate source. And looking at their future line up, I doubt they are scared of anything.

WEEKEND UPDATE: No results till tomorrow, but from what I'm seeing, 'Get Hard' will be much bigger than anticipated. It had sell outs all weekend. I originally predicted 20.000 adm for it, but now I think it will break through the 40.000 border. 'Home' on the other hand is not even shown by the main theatre chain, so it will likely have a weaker than predicted debut.

What a great weekend! Home will make 50M+, GH might touch 40M, Insurgent seems to be holding well and Cinderella, besides having way, way worse drops than Maleficent during the week, it also drops more during the weekend

With the way things are going, what can we expect from TA2 a month from now? The first one made 17.9M on OW. I'm guessing there's no way TA2 comes close to that.

I'd like to see DWA get back on their feet. Home looks good so I will check it out. It's really amazing to see WB succeed in having a great year with no major franchises. With Magic Mike, San Andreas, The Man from UNCLE and Mad Max going on their year looks solid, which is unexpected. Also, if that article is correct, Insurgent will drop the same as Divergent. Nice to see it is not more frontloaded.

Funny thing is I know people like you in real life, extremly arrogant because of how smart they think they are and let me tell you that, at least in my field of work (law and general judicial activities) people like that get their asses kicked by people like me, in both practice and exams. I am known here for having unpopular opinions about movies (read: I like a lot of presumably bad movies). And guess what, I don't need to pretend I like something some idiotic critic likes just to seem smart. So please, next time think before you type something like that. Also, you know what's even funnier? If you wanna get all moral, your generalization about a certain category of people (those who enjoy some low rated movies) being stupid is actually just as discriminating as the presumed racism you're talking about (which is a ridiculous thing to say anyway considering 'Get Hard' stars a black guy).

Because: 1. I liked Maleficent. Not a perfect movie even by far, but still a good movie. 2. People diss a movie I liked just by comparing it with C. 3. I like Jolie to some extent. 4. I don't really like Lily James.

Not really. I don't even like Maleficent that much to begin with, but seeing Cinderella fail after all the praise it's got makes me feel good.

FF is a huge series here. The last movie did 1.3M and it is currently the 20th highest grossing movie ever. I expect Fast 7 to be bigger. In fact, I expect a battle between it, 50 Shades, Spectre and possibly SW7 for the 2015 crown. So 1.5M+.

I just can't believe this got so overlooked. It was one of the best, funniest, most heart-warming animations I've ever seen, The style was so unique and the soundtrack was the best in any animation in a long, long time. Pices like "The Apology Song" or "I Love You Too Much" are soo much better than most of these song from animated movies that become mainstream (cough*** Let It Go*** cough). And the story. So damn beautiful, with relatable, believable characters and that in an animation, which is incredibly hard to achive. Plus a moral behind it. A+

I thought Cinderella will at least make 15M even with a bad exchange rate and it's boring trailers. This is hilarious

Yeah, I can understand how that can be annoying (it annoys me that she doesn't come to take the Iron Throne already), but even so she is the most interesting character around. Cersei is a close second (book Cersei, because I feel the TV show doesn't give her enough screen time).

I seriously don't understand the hate for Dany. Like, at all. What's wrong with people?

So the DOM marketing was only 45M? That is ridiculously low for a tentpole. In other news, Focus is already at 120m WW and it still has Spain, Japan and France to open (plus possibly China). It will likely finish around 170m on a 50m budget.

So how does the comic go on this one? What happens next? Honestly, I'm pissed at Michonne for stoping Rick. At this point, Rick is my fav character (which is a lot considering I found him insufferable in the first 2-3 seasons). Carl is my second favourite, even though I liked him more in his psycho phase. I like Daryl, but not enough to stop watching the show if he dies.
