  1. The amount of stupidity needed to even think something like this must be off the charts. Someone needs to be fired.
  2. Not really. Just like in the US, TA is a much more fanboy-driven franchise than FF, so those polls don't mean very much.
  3. I love this freakin movie so damn much! Saw it again and it's just as good as the first time. The idea is so endearing. It's one of those cases where the movie is just as good as the books, even if it's a bit different. I mean, the chase scene between Christensen and the other Jumper is just insane. A+

  5. I know, I just wish I'd understand why there are people on this planet that cannot love a stupid, over the top, fun movie just because it's fun.
  6. Yep you are. The fact that you fail to enjoy a perfectly enoyable blockbuster is a real problem. And TF are very good movies, and the evidence is there: people love them, they make billions. They have relatable protagonists, and same does Pirates. There is a reason why people love Sparrow, besides JD attracting the female demo
  7. I am so pissed I can't even begin to describe it. This should have started a big franchise, if only they followed the fuckin book! It wasn't that hard. You have an excellent material, freakin stick to it. Do not begin adding stuff when you are clearly a bloody moron! The book was a dark thriller, with more horror accents than fantasy. Differences: - First of all, there are no freakin dragons. - Mother Malkin is not the queen of the witches (there is no queen), she does not live in a temple/castle, she's not even 1/4 that strong, she doesn't turn into a bat, she's ugly and scary as fuck, she has no servants, the Spook did not fell in love with her. Hell, even the Devil in the books (yeah, the actual Devil, brought in the world by the witches) is not that strong. - The Spook in the book is a brood character, he has dark secrets, he is as serious as he can be, not like the clown in the movie. He lives in a small home and not in a castle. - Tom wasn't unhappy with his life. In fact, he didnt want to go away from his home. He is just a kid in the book, he doesnt throw knives and even if he falls for Alice along the books, that happens almost at the end of the series. - There is no Tusk in the books. - Ther is no Umbranstone Tom does not (cannot) perform witchcraft. - The world itself looks wrong. The books are set in UK, in a medieval time. The location changes through the series: Greece, Romania, Ireland. The movie looks like freakin New Zealand. - The Boggart.... let's not even get into that. - There are no men with multiple hands, no one can turn into leopards, no assasins, no huge bears etc etc etc. - Mother Malking doesnt destroy that city. Lol. That city is not even in the book. It may be a reference to the second book where a city like that appears, being threatend by an ancient, very powerfull demon. - And again, the magic in the book is darker, more on the mind part, not flashy, but sinister. The witches have powers, but even Malkin, which is among the strongest, has limites abilities: some blood magic, that charm she performs on the spook in the movie, some super strength and that's about it. - Tom's mom is a which, but not an ordinary kind and certainly not like she is portrayed in the movie. And she doesn't die In fact, she has no connection with these events or Mother Malkin. - And Tom din not become a spook after the events in the first book. Hell, in the 10th book he is still an apprentice. And he actually writes his shit down. And many other things. The only reason I'm givin this a D, and not an F is Julianne Moore's great performance.
  8. Wait. Elba as bond? Are you people high? I mean, did he have any other decent performance besides the Pac Rim one?
  9. I'm not gonna comment to this because if I am I will get banned for sure.
  10. Re-watched this again. I've seen this movie so many times and it is still keeping me on edge. Cruise's performance is the best in any of his movies. Yeah, the ending is kinda simple, but man oh man, the feels and the fun. I mean, just look at this shit: And that soundtrack!
  11. Actually, it made more than Monsters vs. Aliens, despite opening 7M lower. It's not bad and it's not good.
  12. I know And DH2 would've been on the list too since it's my no. 2.
  13. Hp 3 under Frozen?! Jeez, now I'm so sorry I didn't make a list. I mean for real, Frozen people?!
  14. Season 4 had this, which in the best scene in the whole show yet: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VNzgDgdmRK4
  15. I expected a lot more, but the episode was worth it for the "Rick, do it. - Rick executing the guy, not even flinching" scene alone. So freakin badass.
  16. Um... WB is constantly the No. 1 studio since 2005. Like, 5 out of 10 years they ended up on No. 1. And that's pretty much the only thing you know for sure, since profit wise you have no clear, 100% accurate source. And looking at their future line up, I doubt they are scared of anything.
  17. WEEKEND UPDATE: No results till tomorrow, but from what I'm seeing, 'Get Hard' will be much bigger than anticipated. It had sell outs all weekend. I originally predicted 20.000 adm for it, but now I think it will break through the 40.000 border. 'Home' on the other hand is not even shown by the main theatre chain, so it will likely have a weaker than predicted debut.
  18. What a great weekend! Home will make 50M+, GH might touch 40M, Insurgent seems to be holding well and Cinderella, besides having way, way worse drops than Maleficent during the week, it also drops more during the weekend
