  1. Hooooo boy, gonna be a lot of disappointed fans on here. I can't wait. Heating up the popcorn vats now.
  2. Last week I watched Thoroughbreds because it was a fit 18 year old girl. Hoping to watch Every Day tomorrow which has a very lovely 15 year old in it. Not sure why I'm still typing this tbh just thought I'd add that. Tempted to watch Lily James new film out this week because of the same reason
  3. yes the songs do sound like they were churned out of a pop factory, and yes I'm sure Barnum bears no resemblance to Jackman's character. But it's been one of the most successful films in my lifetime, still packing out cinemas 4 months after release, Ive never seen that before. You can't deny its immense success and I don't think its going anywhere any time soon.
  4. I hated the film when it came out but wanted to give it a second chance as clearly everyone else was seeing something that I didn't. And thought a singalong film (any film) would be fun. It wasn't as bad as I remember. But still super annoyed Thinking of going to the South Park movie singalong at the prince charles next month. I know there people will sing along...
  5. What the FUCK. I just went to a singalong of Greatest Showman. Sold out, 200 whatever seats, everyone is gonna be having fun right? Well, I guess not. NO ONE FUCKING SANG ANY OF THE SONGS. They all sat there in silence, maybe tapping, sometimes muttering some words. Apart from like 4 of us in the audience, no one sang a single word as far as I can tell. WHY would you specifically find a showing thats singalong, pay money for a ticket to a singalong, turn up at the singalong, and then NOT FUCKING SING A LONG? Pissed me right off
  6. @Proxima Olive that list is incorrect. Grease was #7 with £377,001 Also, £36k for Every Day, and £20k for Wilding, in somewhat wide release, ouch. Overall very light weekend, as expected due to weather. Hopefully that means softer drops next weekend, against avengers though not sure. Having the one-two punch of weather and Avengers will probably kill Rampage.
  7. #4 in week 0, nice. Perhaps this will be the encouragement I need to actually be bothered to do my preseasons. Have just realised Avengers is out tomorrow and summer is nearly here.
  8. 'Rampage' stays top of sun-burned UK box office https://www.screendaily.com/news/rampage-stays-top-of-sun-burned-uk-box-office/5128497.article 1 Rampage (Warner Bros) £1.4m £6.5m 2 2 A Quiet Place (Paramount) £1m £8.3m 3 3 The Guernsey Literary And… (Studiocanal) £824,847 £824,847 1 4 Ready Player One (Warner Bros) £502,000 £15.4m 4 5 Peter Rabbit (Sony) £486,000 £38.9m 6
  9. downloaded a new mod version of Halo 3 for PC thats just been released. Thought it would just be a nostalgia rush but 5 straight hours of gaming with my mate suggests no, actually Halo 3 is just a really good game.
  10. not sure why this warranted its own thread. The answer is no btw. it's just more noticeable now because we don't have many "stars" that draw audiences.
  11. Have been away all weekend. That's an astonishing number for Super Troopers 2, really pleased for it. Thought it would do sub 5M. What the hell is with that $14M budget though? Its a fucking kickstarter film right? First one only cost like 1 million. Good hold for Rampage, even better than I expected. Good holds all around since not much competition.
  12. Why would you know the amount you want? You don't know how empty your tank is in litres/gallons etc
  13. No they don't. Han posted 13%, it's now at 29%. Only like 100 reviews. Also if you actually read the user comments, they aren't really about race. Here are all 5 of the negative rating user comments on RT: "falls short of being thrilling in every possible way" "one of the dumbest movies I have ever seen. It is so bad I felt morally compelled to sign up and post my first ever review on RT." "worse than awful. Boring, overacted, predictable. Worst movie of the year" "I'd rather watch a Pixar colonoscopy then this POS" (not sure what this means tbh) "unsatisfying home invasion movie" There are also a couple comments about race by people who have clicked Not Interested so they haven't rated it. One is complaining from a white perspective about white people being villains, the other is complaining from a black perspective about the black guy liking a "light skin chick" Don't feel so up your own arse that any time black people make a film and it's received poorly, it's because of their race. Maybe its just not a very good film.
  14. tbf I can't complain about US petrol stations even if they do have stupid names and weird service (you pay BEFORE you fill up? How retarded is that), because the petrol is so fucking cheap. You pay like under $3 for a gallon. We pay just under $2 for a litre here...
  15. I was about to say Melissa McCarthy's films since Ghostbusters havent been affected by trolls. But I just checked and she hasn't made any films since Ghostbusters. Lol whoops.
  16. When I was in pennsylvania last year I laughed when I saw a petrol station called Sheetz. Then I saw another one. And then another one. Drove to washington and they are everywhere on the way. Why, WHY, does a big chain call itself Sheetz???
  17. The Green party wants to legalise weed, do you think everyone who wants to legalise weed is a member of the green party? Or for that matter people who want to protect the environment actually...
  18. A lot of people don't equate those two things. You can't claim your political group speaks for anyone, except those who are in your political group. From that article (I have seen others but just using this as its' the top google result)
  19. Sorry to drag this thread to this place, but... not being a feminist does not mean you dislike women. Chillll Only 9 percent of women in Britain identify as feminists: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/women/life/only-7-per-cent-of-britons-consider-themselves-feminists/
