  1. No I don't use Twitter. I know a lot of people don't like her. But I really don't think it's because she is fat. I mean just find the I Feel Pretty trailer on Youtube. Reading through the negative comments lets see how many are about her weight? - Yeah cause her last movie did so great - She needs to do a sequel called I Feel Funny - This had the potential to be really uplifting, then Amy Schumer happened - I'm a simple man. I see Amy Schumer and I hit dislike. - My vaginaaaaaaaa - I wouldn't watch an Amy Shcumer movie if my life depended on it - Cringe - I only came here to dislike another piggy Schumer movie. - Damn wonder how much they paid Youtube for the 3k thumbs up - More like "I feel like a cow" haha amiright? - I just came to do my part and leave a dislike - pure leftist cringe - Katherine Heigel 2.0 - Wow... this looks awful - So, it's Shallow Hal, without Jack Black I just looked at the first 15 negative comments and they don't really seem to be focused on her weight. She is not even that fat, compared to some other comedians. Melissa McCarthy doesn't get the same hate, nor does Rebel Wilson. Maybe it is just because people dont think Amy Schumer is funny?
  2. Quote from an exec in an article I found about the merger: They continue to build new cinemas in the UK. I guess maybe they'll do the same in US?
  3. Yeah so you get all standard tickets for free (including double bills / marathons etc), but other formats you have to pay a surcharge. I think you just pay the difference between a standard ticket and a IMAX ticket - it's £4.50 or something for an IMAX ticket. Same for 4DX etc.
  4. Man what I wouldn't do for a bit of Aubrey Plaza. Scarlet witch always seems like a bitch though.
  5. 4 step plan to happiness, Han - 1) Get laid 2) Do drugs with your best friends 3) ??? 4) Profit
  6. Manchurian Candidate is closer to being a sequel than Equalizer.
  7. You're right. You would have to dwell on dozens, hundreds of rejections, not just one.
  8. Let me rephrase that: I wish I could be bothered to cook.
  9. In my town there are 3 cinemas. 3 different chains. A couple years ago, one chain bought one of the other chains. One chain was now going to own 2 out of 3 cinemas in my town. The government stepped in when the chain was bought, and told them they must sell either their original cinema, or the one they just acquired. So they sold the original one, and a new independent startup cinema company bought it. We now have three different, competitive cinemas again. That is how regulation against monopolies should work.
  10. We've had fucking awesome weather this week. usually about 10 degrees in April, it was cold and rainy last week, but all week this week we've had a heatwave and it's been 25+ and no rain. suddenly everyone is walking around with no clothes on, going outside etc. it's a great feeling but will be gone by the weekend.
  11. We have three main multiplex chains in the UK. Cineworld (82 cinemas), Vue (87 cinemas), and Odeon (122 cinemas). Cineworld introduced the Unlimited scheme about 10 years ago. It has grown over time and now has really taken off and has been a runaway success for Cineworld. It's clearly more profitable for them, to have people on the subscriptions rather than buying individual tickets. Which seems counter-intuitive - the monthly sub fee is around 1.5x an adult ticket price. Cineworld Unlimited is like Moviepass except it's run by the cinema itself, so it's not a case of a third party obtaining a ticket from somewhere for you. There is no loss when a ticket is "bought". Also I think Moviepass has some restrictions, Unlimited has none. Odeon (the biggest chain in UK) last year copied their idea and brought in their own scheme called Limitless. I imagine Vue will do the same in due course. The idea behind moviepass has been proven to work in the UK. I believe rest of Europe does it too. It's just a matter of the service providers selling the scheme themselves. Subscriptions are clearly the way forward for repeat consumers. People who listen to a lot of music probably pay £10/month for Spotify, rather than buying several albums every month. But albums are still sold to people who aren't that interested in keeping up with music, to people who just interested in a few albums each year. Same goes for Netflix... it's not for people who watch a movie every now and then, but if you regularly watch films at home it's the go-to option for you. Same goes for cinemas. I would bet money on you guys in the US to start seeing this being done by Regal in the next few years - which was bought by the UK's Cineworld only a few weeks ago. And, at which point, Moviepass will be made extinct and we won't even be having this conversation.
  12. Sometimes I wish I could cook. Then I remember that I save like an hour each day by not eating properly.

  15. I'm.... actually stunned that you have a film above a Jim film. Let alone two.
  16. who calls her a fat pig? she jokes about her appearance all the time... half her shtick is "I'm so fat it's so unfair isnt that so funny", and the other half is "I'm a woman, aren't I so funny" if you make jokes about your appearance in your standup routines, then that's fair game for people to make fun of your appearance. I think most people's dislike of her stems from her coming across as a stuck up entitled brat.
  17. went to see Grease, not a singalong version but whatever I don't mind people enjoying themselves. But rather than singing, everyone was kind of quietly mumbling some of the words, I guess cause they didn't want to disturb others by singing? And when everyone's mumbling quietly, you really hear it. Super cringey and one of the worst cinema experiences I've ever had. I kept staring at the woman next to me when she was being disruptive (she was being really bad) and then she stopped... and started humming. Fucking HUMMING. IN THE CINEMA. Belt it out at the top of your lungs or fucking SHUT UP.
  18. But just going on internet forums doesn't make you a nerd, right...? I mean the only reason I frequent this forum throughout the whole day is because I have nothing better to do at work... this means I'm definitely not a nerd RIGHT?
  19. Why did I stay up until half 3 last night watching nurburgring crash videos on youtube?
  20. I will admit that the music is the one good thing in the incredibles.
  21. honestly didn't get all the hate for sceasty in pacrim2.
  22. Nope... think you will find that Jurassic World adjusts to 725M, so it sold more tickets than BP. And obviously made more OS but that goes without saying.
