  1. i finally got round to cancelling amazon prime and instead of the "you can continue to use prime until X renewal date" they give you the option of cancelling right now and you get a refund of the last month. That's neat.
  2. I just looked up what he said about GOTG. I think its just headlines making news. He did not criticise GOTG.
  3. if I made original films that crushed every brand and franchise out there, I wouldn't be humble about it.
  4. You didn't think the finale of a two-part film, the ending to a huge series, which opened to 350M, would be front loaded ?
  5. James Cameron is many things, humble is not one of them. Not that he should be - he is the God of the box office.

  7. what did Lionsgate screw up in John Wick 2 marketing and release?
  8. How are you defining "failure"? Christopher Robin did well, as did Mary Poppins Returns. No, MPR was not the goliath that some of us predicted, but it still did well enough. Pirates 5 made $800 million by the way. what do you mean TLJ "should have" done 700M? People did not enjoy the film. Why "should" it make more money than it did? Why should any film for that matter? 620M or whatever it was is still well above prequels. and yes, I hear "saturation of superhero movies" every day on this forum.
  9. nah i don't think so, somewhat niche audience. It had a good opening and held well, no complaints from me BO-wise. I think 3 might reach 100M though.
  10. for some reason I've been seeing a ton of negative posts about Avatar on facebook recently, where everyone is saying no one can remember avatar and it was only a success because of the CGI I cant wait for 19 months time to see them wet themselves over avatar 2.
  11. just wait for couple weeks time for John Wick to outgross Endgame.
  12. Charlize "Poison" Theron destroying another film's box office chances!
  13. Well shit, my mates girlfriends mum just died. I can't even imagine losing a parent at 17. Just trying to be nice with her and not talk about it but feels awkward man.
  14. Spider-Man, Avengers, The Dark Knight, Deadpool, it has happened many times that a well-received sequel to a well received huge superhero movie, does not increase.
  15. I'm watching telly and just had an advert using 2001 to sell Viagra... (ape throwing his boner in the air) And now I want to end it all.
