    Yeah 100% agreed, my theater clapped.. Every1 ate up the IMAX 3D, my wife said it was better than the 1st Aquaman and more evenly paced than Avatar last yr.. Some scenes from Nicole Kidman talking to Orm were also very touching IMO. But it got whacked by critics real hard...

    Yes, good 2nd day definitely. And tomorrow is Friday so will definitely increase. Maoyan has up its final prediction for Aquaman by c.90m Yuan (c.USD13m more). Not bad at all. WoM in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Msia and Singapore are all pretty good thus far as well

    I genuinely don't think Aquaman will perform as badly as The Marvels. Quality wise it is definitely better than The Marvels; but I think RT score will be lower noting Marvel films tend to have higher RT scores.. so let's see how much RT impacts box office.

    At 820pm already at 21.8m Yuan for today, already hit estimates with more than an hour and half to go.

    Based on current run rate for China BO today (based on Maoyan), i think Aquaman 2 will again beat estimates - ard at 18m Yuan at 7pm (GMT +8) and Maoyan is estimating 21.8m Yuan today. We have 3 hrs to go. Let's see whether total estimates revise upwards tonight (again); showtimes tomorrow trending up. From 32.2% of all showtimes today to 34.4% tomorrow.

    Douban score is almost always lower than Maoyan. Different matrix and more critical, also you don't need to watch a movie to rate it on Douban. 7.0 is not bad at all - if it can be maintained.

    Having seen it, and all of the films listed above. Aquaman 2 is definitely better than all of those, and on par with The Flash (which I thought was really good other than wonky CGI) but Aquaman 2's CGI is much better. The audience at my IMAX 3D theater ate it.

    Just came out of an IMAX 3D showing; nice film, entertaining + action pack, graphics were great. Lots of important message and surprisingly touching? I think WoM will not be that bad Anyway the credit scene makes perfect sense if you have seen the movie, whole theater laughed.!

    Of course it is possible. Let's see how it does tonight.. and if whether Maoyan update its prediction in 3hrs. This weekend is quite clear in terms of competition; no new openers.. unless some holdover surprises. The big one comes on 31st Dec.

    Maoyan and TPP scores are not bad at all! If it stabilises above 9 means pretty strong WoM especially for HLW films..!

    The first Shazam is one of the best superhero movies of all time IMO. So much heart and humour.

    Is WB pushing Jason Mamoa for any Late Night shows.. Am not seeing much marketing / exposure for this film. I mean for Wonka, Timothee Chalamet hosted SNL..

    Am still not sure why WB dated Wonka just 1 week before Aquaman. Wonka could have opened this weekend and have 2 weeks of PLFs..

    Might be the final week that John Wick 4 is on the charts, great performance and legs and Japan seems to have embrace the film as its own - noting the Asian stars and Japanese elements in this one. The localized Jap posters, trailers were also amazing.

    Wow nice!!! I mean it is arguable the best movie in the franchise and very well-deserved Was worried the delay in release..6 months later than the rest of the world might impact it; but apparently not.! Japanese title and poster is awesome too!
