We had a red band trailer that showed some of the violence, but nothing popped as far as visuals/action choreography. Also, the movie is a lot of set-up than pay off. If it is successful, we might see a better sequel. It is kinda like the Tomb Raider reboot if the reviews are any indication.

You like the action choreography in Mortal Kombat ? Lol. Even the good reviews of MK say that the action is fun, but nothing new or amazing.

Going back to Winter Soldier action choreography. Civil War had some good hand to hand action scenes too. Rest have relied too much on CGI.

Reaction is similar to GvK trailer. How I wish GvK had released in a pre pandemic world. Would have done 100+ OW and 800+ WW. Sigh. This will be HUGE in Asian markets. Frankly, looks way more interesting & appealing than Black Widow.

The action looks way better than Mortal Kombat, which makes sense as the budget is 150+ million. Looks like it is going to be a very fun action packed origin movie. Will be like Ant-Man / Doctor Strange, but reception will be much better due to minority representation in Hollywood and that too in a superhero flick. Marvel is covering all races and religions in their movies/tv shows. Time to represent India and Hindus, as MCU is very popular in India. Common Kevin Fiege, don't disappoint Indian fans.

Extremely disappointing. You would think that with both monsters, 80+ is easy peasy. Piracy + hbo max is really hurting it badly. Maybe wom isn't all that good in China. I don't know.

Under 80M OW is a possibility. Should have done 90+ if not 100. Kinda disappointing. To think this could have been much bigger pre covid times. They should have released Kong skull island in 2016/17, KOTM in 2017/18 and this in 2018/19.

This and GvK would have done big numbers worldwide. The trailers for both have been hugely appreciated. Genuine hype and buzz surrounding these movies.

It's so sad that we will never find out how it would have done at box office. A potenial franchise high was here for the taking. Overseas would have been HUGE. Sigh. WB & Legendary can delay this if they want till July. I am sure by then theaters will start operating at decent capacity.

Cuz desert is boring. Fight in a jungle would be best option, but you have to render CGI forest, which is more expensive than city.

Cuz many big movies will slowly be pushed towards the latter end of the year, as theatres are still not running as per the capacity, studios would like them to run. Also, it doesn't make sense for Sony to release Venom 2 before Spiderman 3 with Morbius in between. Morbius and Venom 2 have some shared universe thing going on.

This will be pushed to 2022.

Tim who? The auteur here is the director of this film. Had a huge smile on my face after I was done watching it.

Voltron on Netflix was extremely good. One of the best anime shows.

The first one was surprisingly great. It had many epic moments. This one paled in every possible way. The story, acting, action, score, cinematography...everything is just so pedestrian. Actually, the only decent thing in this movie is "handsome man", which is telling. Now we know why this movie was delayed twice before coming to HBO max. 200M budget is definitely not on the screen. It feels like a 100M studio film directed by a first timer. 3/10. 1 point each for handsome man, Chinese kid and invisible fighter crossing through fireworks at night. That's all.
